Provided is a transport device including a feeding unit on which a roll-type medium is set and which feeds the medium by rotating the medium, and an endless transport belt that transports the medium in a transport direction by supporting the medium fed out from the feeding unit and rotating. When seen from a support direction in which the transport belt supports the medium, the feeding unit is configured to change the posture thereof so as to incline a rotating shaft of the medium with respect to a width direction that is a direction intersecting the transport direction.

A liquid ejecting apparatus includes: a hollow housing with an aperture; a liquid ejecting head; and a supply mechanism. The liquid ejecting head has a nozzle through which liquid is to be discharged. The liquid ejecting head is supported in the housing with the nozzle exposed through the aperture. A gap is reserved between the liquid ejecting head and an inner circumferential surface of the aperture. The supply mechanism supplies dry gas to an inner space of the housing.

An image recording apparatus includes: a rotating drum including a hollow cylinder around which a recording medium is guided while the rotating drum rotates; a discharge head that discharges liquid onto the recording medium guided around the outer surface of the rotating drum; and an air flow generator that generates an air flow that passes through the inside of the hollow cylinder of the rotating drum. The rotating drum further includes, in the hollow cylinder, a shaft member that has an axis identical to a rotation axis of the rotating drum and supporting members that are plate-shaped and that extend from the shaft member in the radial direction of the rotating drum and support the hollow cylinder, and the rotating drum rotates in a rotation direction about the shaft member. Each of the supporting members includes at least one air hole penetrating therethrough in the rotation direction.

An image recording device including: a transport unit that transports a recording medium from a first drive roller to a second drive roller by rotating a first drive roller and a second drive roller across which a recording medium is stretched, a support member that supports the recording medium between the first drive roller and the second drive roller, a recording unit that ejects liquid on the recording medium supported on the support member and records an image, a detection unit that detects tension of the recording medium, and a control unit that gives tension to the recording medium by controlling the torque of the first drive roller based on the recording medium tension detected by the detection unit.
