In a case where an article (A) is advanced along an inclined transport direction (C) by use of an article transverse-pushing body () configured to move along a main transport direction (T) and to be movable in a width direction (W) perpendicular to the main transport direction (T), the article transverse-pushing body () is accelerated in the width direction (W) in a sorting region (B) and then inertially moved such that the article transverse-pushing body () thus moving inertially is brought into contact with the article (A).

Article sorting method and article sorting facility

An article transfer facility () includes a transfer device () that performs a first operation to take out an article (W) that are supported by a first container (C), from the first container (C), and a second operation to load the article (W) taken out from the first container (C), onto a second container (C); and an inclination device () that supports the second container (C) at a predetermined position (P), wherein the second container (C) has a rectangular mounting surface (S) onto which the articles (W) are to be mounted, and is formed in a box shape with an open upper surface, and the inclination device () supports the second container (C) in an inclined state such that a target corner portion (Sct) that is one of a plurality of corner portions (Sc) of the mounting surface (S) is located lower than the other corner portions (Sc).

Article transfer facility

A shield gate includes a door member disposed in a gap region located between an intra-area transport unit and an extra-area transport unit in a transport direction in a closed state in which the shield gate shields an opening, and is disposed at a position displaced from the gap region in an open state in which the shield gate opens the opening. A second interval is a length of the gap region that allows the door member to be disposed, during at least a part of a non-transport period, the length of the gap region is set to be greater than or equal to the second interval, and the shield gate is in the closed state, and, during the transport period, the shield gate is in the open state, and the length of the gap region is set to a first interval that is shorter than the second interval.

Article transport facility

Article sorting equipment of the present invention comprises: a rotation drive device; endless chains rotated on a conveyance route by the rotation drive device; a plurality of slats on which the article is placed and conveyed; and shoes attached to the slats. In the present invention, detected plates are attached to the slats, and a detection device for detecting the detected plates is provided. Based on timing of detecting the detected plates, positions of the slats are obtained.
