A label printer is disclosed adapted to establish and store therein a set of retrieval codes in which at least one condition of the various conditions of the place where each commodity is kept in stock is encoded and to issue labels in succession for each commodity whose item number satisfies the conditions of the retrieval code, whereby stock control of the commodities is enabled to be easily performed without preparing any special table or the like.

Label printer

A method and apparatus for confirming bar code information in a bar code printer. The information to be printed includes informational digits and two check digits. The first check digit is manually inputted by the operator along with the informational digits. The second check digit is automatically calculated and should have the same value as the first check digit. The data is further confirmed by comparing the first check digit with a calculated value obtained by performing an automatic calculation based on the informational digits.

Bar cord information input confirming method

The present invention provides an arrangement wherein a cutting length for a film is included in PLU (price look up) data so that, upon PLU operation, a film can be automatically cut into a sheet having a length suitable to envelope therein an article to be packaged.
