The present vehicle door latch device comprises a latch unit for keeping a door in a closed state, and a powered closing unit for supplying the power for fully closing the door, to the latch unit. A motor of the closing unit is connected to a wire lever of the latch unit through a power wire, and an opening lever of the latch unit is connected to a canceling lever of the closing unit through a safety wire. The latch unit has a one-motion door opening mechanism. An inner lever connected to an inside opening handle is engageable with the opening lever. A switch which detects the rotational position of a latch of the latch unit is arranged in such a position as not to be overlapped onto the wire lever.

Vehicle door latch device

An initially opening device for a vehicle sliding door comprises an output member rotated by a motor, a winch lever rotated from a stand-by position to an initial-open position, a connecting lever for connecting the output member to the winch lever, a press member provided in the sliding door and connected to the winch lever, a ratchet lever connected to a latch unit provided at rear portion of the door for engaging a striker fixed to a vehicle body, and a contact surface formed in the ratchet lever and brought into contact with the winch lever for rotating the ratchet lever when the winch lever is rotated toward the initial-open position. The press member is brought into contact with the vehicle body to move the rear portion of the sliding door in an initial opening direction when the winch lever is displaced from the stand-by position to the initial-open position.

Initially opening device for vehicle sliding door

A powered sliding device for a sliding door comprises a wire drum rotated by a motor, a wire cable connecting the wire drum and the sliding door, a clutch mechanism provided between the wire drum and the motor. The clutch mechanism has a first coupling state for opening the door, a second coupling state for closing the door, and an uncoupling state. The wire drum has a cylindrical shape having a substantially closed end and an opposite open end, and an inner space formed inside thereof. The clutch mechanism is substantially provided within the inner space. The clutch mechanism is displaced into the first coupling state when the motor rotates in a given direction and displaced into the second coupling state when the motor rotates in a direction opposite to the given direction. The clutch mechanism is returned to the uncoupling state from the first coupling state when the motor is rotated in the opposite direction by a predetermined amount, and is returned to the uncoupling state from the second coupling state when the motor is rotated in the given direction by the predetermined amount.

Powered sliding device for vehicle sliding door

A powered sliding device for sliding a vehicle door comprises a base plate, a wire drum rotatably mounted on the base plate by a drum shaft and rotated by a motor, a wire cable for pulling the door in an opening direction or in a closing direction when the wire drum rotates, a tension shaft slidably mounted on the base plate in a given direction and having a tension roller, a movable member slidably mounted on the base plate in a direction perpendicular to the given direction, and a coupling member having one end rotatably connected to the tension shaft and the other end rotatably connected to the movable member. The given direction coincides with a radial direction of the drum shaft. Each side of a contact portion of the wire cable relatively to the tension roller extends straight toward the wire drum.

Powered sliding device for a vehicle sliding door

A tension apparatus of a vehicle door powered sliding device comprises a motor fixed to a base plate, a wire drum mounted to the base plate by a first shaft and rotated by the motor, a wire cable provided between a vehicle sliding door and the wire drum for pulling the sliding door forward or rearward when the wire drum rotates, first and second tension arms rotatably mounted on the first shaft and having tension rollers which makes contact with the wire cable, an intermediate lever rotatably mounted on the first shaft, an adjusting member for fixing the first tension arm and the intermediate lever so that an angle of the first tension arm and the intermediate lever can be adjusted, a tension spring provided between the intermediate lever and the second tension arm.
