An image forming apparatus comprises a recording head having a plurality of recording elements arranged in array, the recording head being utilized for recording a corrective image onto a recording material, an image reading device to acquire readout information by reading the corrective image, an carrying out section to conduct calculation to obtain a correction amount of recording characteristics, from the readout information acquired by the reading device, an image forming section to form an image onto the recording material by the recording head in which a recording characteristics of the plurality of recording elements are compensated based on the correction amount, and a controller to control the recording head so as to record the corrective image on to the recording material, wherein, the readout information in the carrying out section discriminates optical density unevenness caused by a factor not being associated with the recording head.

A method for processing a silver halide color photographic light-sensitive material is disclosed. The method comprises the step of processing a color silver halide photographic material by a processing apparatus having the first processing tank in which the light-sensitive material is firstly processed, a turning portion positioned outside the processing solution between the first processing tank and the next processing tank, wherein the silver halide color photographic light-sensitive material has a coated silver amount of from 3 g/m.sup.2 to 10 g/m.sup.2, and a value of R.times.L.sub.1 /S is within the range from 1.5 to 5.0, or a value of L.sub.1 .times.K/S is within the range of from 26 to 70, when R is a curvature radius in centimeter of the turning portion, L.sub.1 is a length in centimeter of the portion of the first processing tank at which the light-sensitive material is immersed in a processing solution, S is a transportation speed of the light-sensitive material in the processor in centimeter per minute, and K is an opening ratio in cm.sup.2 /liter of the first processing tank.

Method for processing silver halide photographic light-sensitive material

A method for processing a transparent silver halide color photographic material is disclosed. The transparent silver halide photographic light-sensitive material is treated with a processing solution containing a compound represented by Formula (I). Formula I ##STR1## wherein Q is a group of atoms necessary for forming a nitrogen-containing heterocyclic ring (including one condensed with a 5- or 6-member unsaturated ring), R.sub.11 is a hydrogen atom, an alkali metal atom, ##STR2## or an alkyl group, Q' is a synonym for Q.sub.1. After the treating, a ratio (E/G) of a light absorbance E of unexposed area of the light-sensitive material at 650 nm to an amount of silver G mg/m.sup.2 remaining in the light-sensitive material is within the range of from 3.0.times.10.sup.-4 to 1.5.times.10.sup.-3 in the silver halide photogrpahic light-sensitive material, A transparent silver halide color photographic material is also disclosed.

A method for processing a silver halide photographic light-sensitive material is by an automatic processor having a processing chamber with a small volume. The processing method comprises the step of conveying a silver halide photographic light-sensitive material imagewise exposed to light and developed, through a chamber which is filled with a solution having a fixing ability, in which the processing chamber comprises an upper member constituting an upper wall of the chamber, a lower member constituting a bottom wall of the chamber and a means for conveying the light-sensitive material, and said upper wall and said bottom wall of said processing chamber form a small volume, and the solution having a fixing ability contains a fixing agent and a compound represented by the following Formula I, II, III or IV: ##STR1##

An apparatus for processing a silver halide photographic material which is exposed to a light, comprises a supplying head on which plural jetting orifices are provided. A processing solution is supplied through a space from the plural jetting orifices onto the silver halide photographic material so that plural solution dots are formed on the silver halide photographic material. The plural jetting orifices are provided in such an arrangement that, when the amount of the processing solution supplied through each of the plural jetting orifices is a minimum amount, each solution dot on the silver halide photographic material has a dot area S and a overlapping area D in which neighboring solution dots are overlapped with each other and a degree of overlapping defined by a formula (D/S) is not less than 0.2.
