A V-ribbed belt which comprises core wires and a stretch rubber layer constituted of a vulcanizate of a rubber composition comprising a rubber ingredient and short is provided. The content of the short fibers in the rubber composition is 15-50 parts by mass per 100 parts by mass of the rubber ingredient and the rubber composition has a minimum Mooney scorch viscosity, as measured at 125° C., of 70-130.

V-ribbed belt, production method therefor, and rubber composition

A V-ribbed belt includes a compression rubber layer having a frictional power transmission surface that is covered with a fabric. The compression rubber layer includes an inner rubber layer in contact with the fabric and an outer rubber layer on an outer side of the inner rubber layer. The inner rubber layer is formed of a rubber composition having a Mooney Scorch minimum viscosity of 50 to 110 when measured at 125° C., and the outer rubber layer is formed of a rubber composition having a Mooney Scorch minimum viscosity of 70 to 130 when measured at 125° C.

V-ribbed belt and method for producing same

A V-ribbed belt in which a friction transmission surface of a compression rubber layer is coated with a knit fabric is provided. The compression rubber layer is formed of the cured product of a rubber composition containing an ethylene-α-olefin elastomer and carbon black wherein the carbon black contains a soft carbon having a primary particle diameter of at least 40 nm and a hard carbon having a primary particle diameter of less than 40 nm. The ratio between the number of particles of the soft carbon and hard carbon is former/latter=3/97 to 25/75.

V-ribbed belt and use thereof

A rubber toothed belt includes a belt main body including a plurality of tooth portions provided at predetermined intervals along a longitudinal direction of the belt and including a first rubber composition, in which the first rubber composition includes a composite polymer including a hydrogenated nitrile rubber and an unsaturated carboxylic acid metal salt in a mass ratio of the former/the later=100/80 to 100/180, and includes, with respect to 100 parts by mass of the composite polymer, 3 parts by mass to 50 parts by mass of a zinc oxide, 3 parts by mass to 50 parts by mass of a non-reinforcing filler, 10 parts by mass or less of a reinforcing filler, 5 parts by mass or less of short fibers, and 1 part by mass to 5 parts by mass of an organic peroxide.

Toothed belt made of rubber, and rubber composition

The present invention relates to a V-ribbed belt that includes carbon-fiber twisted cords as core wires, the V-ribbed belt having a tensile elasticity of 240-500 N/(mm·%), and the core wire diameter of the core wires being 0.6-1.2 mm. The V-ribbed belt may have a tensile strength of 620 N/mm or more per 1 mm width of the belt.

The present invention relates to a V-ribbed belt that has a medium elongation of 0.8% or more when the load of 4 cN/dtex is applied, and that contains a twisted cord in which a high-elongation aramid fiber having a tensile modulus of 50-100 GPa and a low-modulus fiber having a lower tensile modulus than the high-elongation aramid fiber are blended and twisted.

A production method for producing a frictional power transmission belt containing an extensible layer forming a belt back surface, a compressive rubber layer formed on one surface of the extensible layer and frictionally engaging at the lateral surface thereof with pulleys, and a tension member embedded between the extensible layer and the compressive rubber layer along the belt length direction. A surface of at least a part of the compressive rubber layer to be in contact with pulleys is coated with a fiber/resin mixture layer that contains a resin component and heat-resistant fibers having a softening point or a melting point higher than a vulcanization temperature in a mixed state, and the heat-resistant fibers contain a fiber embedded so as to extend from the fiber/resin mixture layer to the compressive rubber layer.

A frictional power transmission belt includes a frictional power transmission surface in which the frictional power transmission surface is covered with a fibrous member. The fibrous member at least includes water absorptive fibers and an inorganic powder exists in at least a surface of the fibrous member.

A V-ribbed belt contains an extension layer forming a belt back face, a compression layer provided on one side of the extension layer, and a tension member embedded between the extension layer and the compression layer and extending in a belt circumferential length direction. The compression layer has a plurality of V-shaped ribs formed to be extending in the belt circumferential length direction and to be a frictional power transmission surface with a pulley. The frictional power transmission surface is covered with a knitted fabric, in which the knitted fabric is knitted out of a polyester-based composite yarn and a cellulose-based natural spun yarn. A power transmission belt with a body made from a first rubber composition in which at least one load carrying member is embedded. The body has a plurality of laterally spaced ribs with exposed surfaces on the inside of the body. The ribs are made from a second rubber composition in which: a) a plasticizer of 8.3 to 10.7 (cal/cm)in solubility parameter; and b) solid lubricant are respectively blended in an amount: i) 5 to 25 pts.wt.; and ii) 5 to 50 pts.wt. per 100 pts.wt. ethylene-&#x3b1;-olefin elastomer. The body further has short fibers fixed at the exposed, pulley engaging rib surfaces.

A power transmission belt having a body with a length, an inside and an outside. Teeth are spaced along the length of the body. The body is made of rubber in which at least one load carrying member is embedded. The load carrying member extends lengthwise of the body. The rubber in the body is made up of: a) 3 to 7 parts by mass of short fiber blended relative to 100 parts by mass of a polymer that is a hydrogenated nitrile rubber having unsaturated carboxylic acid metal salt formed by mixing the hydrogenated nitrile rubber and the unsaturated carboxylic acid metal salt at a mass ratio of from 100:100 to 100:180; and b) no more than 10 parts by mass of a powdery inorganic filler blended relative to 100 parts by mass of the polymer.
