A starting apparatus starts an engine of a vehicle in response to a wireless signal transmitted from a remote control and keeps the engine running when a door of the vehicle is opened after the engine of the vehicle has been started. Moreover, a function controller included in the starting apparatus disables a function of a powered window apparatus and a sunroof apparatus of the vehicle in response to start of the engine of the vehicle and enables the functions of the powered window apparatus and the sunroof apparatus when a door of the vehicle is opened after the engine of the vehicle has been started.

Vehicle control system

A remote starting device starts up an engine when receiving an RF signal instructing to start up the engine from a remote control terminal. A first switch is provided in parallel to an accessory switch which is disposed in a first power supply line connecting a battery to an electrical device for controlling accessories. A second switch is provided in parallel to an ignition switch which is disposed in a second power supply line connecting the battery to an electrical device for controlling non-accessories. A first controller controls the second switch to be turned on when starting up the engine. A first detector detects an insertion state of a key into a key cylinder by a user. A second detector detects an electrical connection state in the first power supply line. A second controller controls the first switch to be turned off when the first detector detects that the key is inserted in a state where the engine is started up. A third controller controls the second switch to be turned off when the second detector detects that the electrical connection state of the first power supply line is changed from an electrically-connected state to an electrically-disconnected state in a state where the first switch is turned off by the second controller.

Remote starting device and remote starting method

An accessory switch SWa and an ignition switch SWi are connected to a sub-relay RL. A starter switch SWs is connected to a sub-relay RL. The sub-relay RLis turned OFF when welding occurs in the starter switch SWs. When welding occurs in the accessory switch SWa, the starter switch SWs is turned OFF, or the starter switch SWs is not turned ON.

Method and apparatus for start control of a vehicle

A main control portion of a vehicle has an LF transmission antenna for transmitting a search signal. The LF transmission antenna has five antennas respectively provided on door knobs of the vehicle. A smart key receives the search signals transmitted from respective antennas constituting the LF transmission antenna, and then measures a filed strength of the received search signal. The smart key transmits field strength information representing the measured field strength to the main control portion. The main control portion calculates relative position information of the vehicle to the smart key, based on the field strength information. On the basis of the relative position information, the main control portion controls the door of the vehicle to be locked or unlocked.

The present invention teaches a remote starting control system having a simple construction and being low in cost, that can be mounted on a vehicle having an immobilizing function. The system, which is mounted on a vehicle equipped with an immobilizer for capturing a code output in response to an insertion of an ignition key into a key cylinder and permitting an engine start when judging the captured code to be a unique code of the vehicle so as to control engine starting according to an instruction from a portable transmitter, comprises a device for storing a code in an EEPROM each time the code is supplied to a signal line, and a device for supplying the code stored in the EEPROM to the immobilizer when receiving a start instruction of the engine from the portable transmitter.

Remote starting control system

An antitheft apparatus includes a control section. When a status change from a closed state to an open state of a luggage door caused by regular means is detected in an arming state being ready to output an alarm, the control section shifts a status from the arming state to a disarmed state being not ready to output an alarm; when a status change from the open state to the closed state of the luggage door is detected in the disarmed state, the control section shifts the status from the disarmed state to the arming state after a predetermined length of preparatory period; and when an arming command to shift the status from the disarmed state to the arming state is given within the length of preparatory period, the control section shifts the status from the disarmed state to the arming state.

Antitheft apparatus

A remote starting device prevents the temperature of exhaust gas from being made too high or the amount of toxic gas around a vehicle from being made too large by engine starting by remote control. The remote starting device controls a starter for starting an engine of the vehicle when receiving an engine start command from a portable transmitter. The remote starting device includes a section for deciding whether the engine starting has been frequently conducted, and a section for limiting the engine starting through receiving the engine start command from the portable transmitter when it is decided that the engine starting has been frequently conducted.

A remote control engine starting device includes an immobilizer and a remote engine starter for starting an engine when an engine start command is given from a remote location. The immobilizer further includes an interrogating signal outputting section, which outputs an interrogating signal when a signal related to engine starting is received, and an engine start permitting section, which gives engine start permission when a remote engine starter code that the remote engine starter outputs in response to the interrogating signal matches a remote engine starter verifying code preregistered in the immobilizer. The remote engine starter further includes an engine start signal outputting sections which outputs a signal related to engine starting and a code outputting section, which in response to the interrogating signal, outputs the remote engine starter code preregistered in the remote engine starter.

Remote control engine starting device for vehicle

A remote control apparatus controls operation of a vehicular alarm apparatus. The remote control apparatus has a transmission section that transmits to the vehicular alarm apparatus (a) a first alarm instruction for causing the vehicular alarm apparatus to perform a first alarm operation and (b) a second alarm instruction for causing the vehicular alarm apparatus to perform a second alarm operation, which is different from the first alarm operation.

Light control apparatus for vehicle

A processing apparatus is mounted on a to-be-equipped body, transmits/receives signals to/from a portable transmitter portably carried by a user, and activates one of functions provided in the to-be-equipped body in accordance with instruction information included in an instruction signal transmitted from the portable transmitter. The processing apparatus includes a receiving unit, a transmitting unit, a judgment unit, a control unit, and an adjustment unit. The receiving unit receives the instruction signal transmitted from the portable transmitter. The transmitting unit transmits a response signal. The judgment unit judges whether or not an acknowledgement signal has been received from the portable transmitter. The control unit activates a function to be activated by the instruction information when the judgment unit concludes that the acknowledgement signal has been received. The adjustment unit adjusts an arrival distance of the response signal in accordance with the function to be activated by the instruction information.

A remote control engine starting device includes an immobilizer and a remote engine starter for staring an engine when an engine start command is given from a remote location. The immobilizer further includes an interrogating signal outputting section, which outputs an interrogating signal when a signal related to engine starting is received, and an engine start permitting section, which gives engine start permission when a remote engine starter code that the remote engine starter outputs in response to the interrogating signal matches a remote engine starter verifying code preregistered in the immobilizer. The remote engine starter further includes an engine start signal outputting section, which outputs a signal related to engine starting, and a code outputting section, which in response to the interrogating signal, outputs the remote engine starter code preregistered in the remote engine starter.

A remote start control apparatus, which is installed in a vehicle equipped with an immobilizer unit, which obtains a code output when an ignition key is inserted into a key cylinder and permits the starting of an engine when it is determined that the code is a unique vehicle code, and which controls engine start functions upon receiving an instruction from a portable transmitter, includes: an EEPROM for storing a unique vehicle code; a unit for, upon receiving an engine start instruction signal from the portable transmitter, transmitting the code in the EEPROM to the immobilizer; and a unit for, upon receiving a theft occurrence signal from a security unit, deleting the code stored in the EEPROM.

The present invention teaches an antitheft device whereby an arming mode can be appropriately set when a remote operation for instructing to start an engine is conducted, comprising a section for setting the arming mode when a time T(e.g. 20&#x2013;30 seconds) elapsed after receiving a door locking operation and a section for setting the arming mode when a time T(e.g. 2 seconds), being shorter than the time T, elapsed after receiving a remote operation for instructing to start the engine.
