An antenna apparatus includes a ground conductor, an antenna element including an antenna that is parallel to the ground conductor and that has a first end portion and a second end portion, a feed line that is coupled to the first end portion of the antenna and that feeds the antenna through the ground conductor, and a short-circuit line that is coupled to the first end portion of the antenna and that electrically short-circuits the antenna to the ground conductor, and a dummy conductor mounted between the first end portion or the second end portion of the antenna and the ground conductor.

Multiband antenna and radio communication apparatus

An antenna device includes: a ground plane having an edge; a matching circuit; and a T-shaped antenna element including a first element and a second element extending from a feed point to a first and second end parts. The first element has a resonance frequency that is higher than a first frequency. The second element has a resonance frequency between a second frequency and a third frequency. A first value obtained by dividing a length from a corresponding point to a first bend part by the first wavelength is less than or equal to a second value obtained by dividing a length from the corresponding point to a second bend part by the second wavelength. An imaginary component of an impedance of the matching circuit takes a positive value at the first frequency and the second frequency and takes a negative value at the third frequency.

An antenna includes, a radiation conductor that is fed by one end, has another end serving as an opened end, and emits or receives radio waves, a first grounding conductor that is installed at the one end side of the radiation conductor and is grounded, a second grounding conductor that is electrically coupled with the first grounding conductor and is formed in a cylindrical shape around the radiation conductor with an elongation direction of the radiation conductor as an axial direction. At least one of the first grounding conductor and the second grounding conductor is electric-field coupled with a conductor where the antenna is installed.

A planar antenna includes: first and second conductors each of which forms a microstrip line in combination with a ground electrode, and which are arranged in parallel with each other on a substrate; a plurality of first resonators disposed between the first conductor and the second conductor which electromagnetically couple the first conductor at one longitudinal end of each of the first resonators to generate electric fields which are in phase with each other; and at least one second resonator disposed between the first conductor and the second conductor which electromagnetically couples the second conductor at one longitudinal end of the at least one second resonator to generate an electric field which is in phase with the electric fields generated by the plurality of first resonators, wherein the at least one second resonator is arranged alternately with the plurality of first resonators.

An RFID tag includes a base part, a loop antenna around the base part including a first antenna element and a second antenna element, and a loop-length shorter than a wavelength of a resonant frequency, and an IC chip at a first surface side of the base part. The IC chip is connected between a first terminal disposed on a first end of the first antenna element and a second terminal disposed on a first end of the second antenna element. The loop antenna includes an overlapping part at a second surface side of the base part, and a capacitance of the overlapping part is adjusted such that a difference between an imaginary component of a first synthetic impedance and an imaginary component of a second synthetic impedance is less than or equal to a predetermined value.

A frequency characteristic adjusting jig attached to a loop antenna includes: a conductive first member which is located along an outer periphery of a loop for a portion of a conductor forming the loop antenna, and which is electromagnetically coupled or electrically connected to the portion of the conductor; a conductive second member which is located along the outer periphery of the loop for another portion of the conductor, and which is electromagnetically coupled or electrically connected to the other portion of the conductor; and a conductive third member which connects the first and second members together via a different path than a path formed along the loop. The first and second members are chosen to have a length along the loop such that a frequency characteristic of the loop antenna is shifted according to the length.

An antenna apparatus includes a ground plane, a first dielectric layer disposed on the ground plane, a conductive line having a feeding point and an open end or a short end and disposed on the first dielectric layer, a second dielectric layer disposed on the first dielectric layer, a plurality of first conductive elements disposed on the second dielectric layer so that the first conductive elements intersect with the conductive line at a plurality of first positions corresponding to nodes of a standing wave of current flowing through the conductive line, and one or more second conductive elements disposed on the second dielectric layer so that the one or more second conductive elements intersect with the conductive line at second positions corresponding to antinodes of the standing wave between the second end and the first position closest to the second end among the the first positions.
