A combined cycle power plant feedwater system includes: a feed pump which supplies feedwater to a heat recovery steam generator; a first pipe which extracts part of the feedwater from a flow path in mid-course of pressurization of the feed pump; a first boiler supplied with the feedwater led into the first pipe and subjected to first water treatment; a second pipe where the feedwater discharged from a feed pump outlet flows; a second boiler supplied with the feedwater led into the second pipe and subjected to second water treatment more downstream than the flow path in mid-course of the pressurization; and a water-treating substance supply device which supplies a water-treating substance for the second water treatment to the feedwater flow path in the feed pump, at a position more downstream than a connection position of the first pipe and more upstream than a connection position of the second pipe.

A control apparatus for a diesel engine includes a neighboring temperature estimating section which estimates a temperature of a neighborhood of a glow plug that heats an interior of a cylinder upon startup, and a supercharging pressure control section which controls a supercharging pressure in such a way that a rotation fluctuation of the engine does not increase, on the basis of the estimated temperature of the neighborhood of the glow plug.

Control apparatus and control method for diesel engine

A direct injection diesel engine includes a piston having a reentrant cavity and a multi-hole fuel injection nozzle disposed on a center line of the cavity. The cavity is formed by a lip portion defining a smallest diameter at a position below a piston crown surface and a raised portion formed at a center of the bottom and shaped like a frustum of a cone. A conical surface of the raised portion is formed to have an angle pointing to a spray point of the fuel injection nozzle at a piston top dead center position. The height position of a top surface is substantially equal to the height position of the lip portion. This structure is to promote the oxidation of soot by utilizing the air in the central part of the cavity.

Combustion chamber structure for diesel engine

A fuel injection nozzle disposed in a center of a reentrant cavity combustion chamber has first and second nozzle hole groups whose inclination angles with respect to a cylinder center axis line are different. A nozzle hole diameter of the second nozzle hole group is larger than that of the first one. First and second nozzle holes are alternately arranged in a circumferential direction. A glow plug projects, in a height direction of the cylinder, up to a height of a spray center axis line (F) of the second nozzle hole directed at a lower side. Therefore the glow plug can contact fuel masses formed by sprays from both the first and second nozzle holes. The glow plug is positioned between spray center axis lines (F, F) in the circumferential direction, and positioned at a swirl downstream side of spray center axis line (F).

Direct injection diesel engine

A fuel injection control apparatus for a diesel engine ( ) is provided that eliminates a torque step occurring when shifting from a pilot fuel injection mode to a normal injection mode. After finding a total fuel injection quantity QFIN per cycle (block ), a pilot fuel injection quantity QPILOTB is subtracted therefrom to determine a pilot fuel injection quantity QPILOT and a main fuel injection quantity QMAIN (block ). Corrected pilot fuel injection quantity QPILOTF and corrected main fuel injection quantity QMAINF are determined using a fuel temperature correction coefficient KQTHF and a pilot fuel injection thermal efficiency CEHPILOT (block ) and a main fuel injection thermal efficiency CEHMAIN (block ). The thermal efficiencies are established based on the respective injection timings. A change in torque does not occur because the change in the thermal efficiency caused by the injection timing is offset.
