An embodiment is a thermal management system for a vehicle, the thermal management system including a main refrigerant line in which a compressor, an indoor condenser, a first expansion valve, an outdoor condenser, a second expansion valve, and an indoor evaporator are sequentially provided, a battery cooling water line in which a battery, the chiller for a battery, and a water pump for a battery are sequentially provided, a refrigerant heater disposed between the compressor and the indoor condenser on the main refrigerant line, and a controller configured to control operations of the compressor and the refrigerant heater, control opening and closing of the first expansion valve and the second expansion valve, control operations of the water pump for an electric component and the water pump for a battery, and control flow paths of the refrigerant, the cooling water for an electric component, and the cooling water for a battery.

Thermal management system for vehicle

A refrigerant circuit includes an auxiliary heat exchanger for adjusting the temperature of refrigerant, a compressor, a condenser, an expansion valve, and an evaporator. The auxiliary heat exchanger selectively operates through a plurality of switch valves. Thus, the temperature of the refrigerant is efficiently managed according to situations, thereby improving cooling and warming performance. An integrated thermal management system includes the auxiliary heat exchanger configured to exchange heat with outside air, thereby efficiently managing the temperature of the refrigerant and simplifying the structure thereof.

Proposed is an integrated thermal management system of which the cooling performance is secured because the entire area of a radiator is used when cooling a PE part and a battery. In particular, heat of the PE part and heat of the battery are selectively shared and thus the entire circuit of the system becomes compact and the energy efficiency is improved.

An embodiment integrated-type air-conditioning system includes a refrigerant circuit including first and second refrigerant lines, a first coolant circuit including a battery, and a second coolant circuit including a PE part. The first refrigerant line includes a compressor, an indoor heat exchanger, a first expansion device, and an outdoor heat exchanger, and the second refrigerant line includes a second expansion device and an integrated heat exchanger. The second refrigerant line branches from a branch point between the indoor heat exchanger and the first expansion device in the first refrigerant line and branches from a point between the compressor and the indoor heat exchanger through a switching valve to be connected to the compressor. The first coolant circuit and the second coolant circuit are each connected to the integrated heat exchanger so as to allow a coolant to exchange heat with a refrigerant.

In an embodiment a system includes a compressor, an indoor heat exchanger, an outdoor heat exchanger, a switch vale, an integrated heat exchanger a first expander and a second expander connected to the refrigerant line, wherein the switch valve is configured to selectively circulate a refrigerant from the compressor either first to the indoor heat exchanger or first to the outdoor heat exchanger, wherein the integrated heat exchanger is configured to receive the refrigerant from the indoor heat exchanger or the outdoor heat exchanger, wherein the integrated heat exchanger is configured to act as a heat pump exchanging heat between the refrigerant and a heat exchange medium, wherein the first expander is configured to selectively expand the refrigerant related to the indoor heat exchanger, wherein the second expander is configured to selectively expand the refrigerant related to the integrated heat exchanger, and a controller configured to control refrigerant circulation directions through the switching valve according to a cooling mode, a heating mode, or a dehumidification mode such that the indoor heat exchanger is able to generate air-conditioning air based on each mode.

In a coolant circulation system of a vehicle, a connecting unit is connected to a coolant line of a vehicle circulating through a battery of the vehicle. When connected to the coolant line, the connecting unit allows coolant to be discharged from the vehicle or be introduced into the coolant line. A supply unit includes a cooling tank in which the coolant is stored or circulates and a heating tank. The cooling tank includes an evaporation core, and the heating tank includes a condensing core. The evaporation core and the condensing core are connected to the coolant line on which a compressor, an expansion valve, and an external condenser are provided. When the connecting unit is connected to the coolant line, the supply unit is configured to supply the coolant from the cooling tank or the heating tank to the coolant line of the vehicle, cooling or heating the battery.

A coolant circulation system for a vehicle performs heat management of a high voltage battery provided in an electric vehicle. The coolant circulation system is configured to be connected to the high voltage battery of the electric vehicle to combine coolant managed outside the electric vehicle and coolant circulated in the high voltage battery of the electric vehicle with each other to supply cooled or heated coolant to the high voltage battery.
