An area light source device has a light guide plate including a light incident end face, a light guide plate main body thinner than a thickness of the light incident end face, and a light introducing unit formed in continuation with the light guide plate main body and so that thickness gradually becomes thinner from the light incident end face side towards the light guide plate main body side, a light source arranged at a position facing the light incident end face, a diffuser plate and one or more prism sheets arranged on a surface on a light emission side of the light guide plate main body, and a light shielding sheet arranged on an upper side of the diffuser plate and the prism sheet in a region excluding a light emitting region of the light guide plate main body.

Area light source device

An area light source device has a diffusion plate and a prism sheet stacked on a light guide plate, and a light source disposed opposite an end face of the light guide plate. Light emitted from the light source is introduced to an inside of the light guide plate from the end face. Area light emission is obtained by outputting the light diffused in the light guide plate from the diffusion plate and the prism sheet through a front face disposed opposite the diffusion plate. The light guide plate includes a light guide section that includes the end face disposed opposite the light source, a light emitting section that is disposed opposite the diffusion plate, and a joining section that joins the light guide section and the light emitting section. The front surface in the joining section includes an inclined surface that is gradually retreated toward a rear surface on an opposite side from the light guide section toward the light emitting section. The front faces of the light guide section and the joining section are covered with a light shielding member. The light shielding member is fixed to the diffusion plate without interposing the prism sheet therebetween. The light shielding member and the inclined surface are arranged to allow air to be interposed therebetween.

A light guide plate has a light incident surface arranged facing a plurality of point light sources arrayed in a line, a light exit surface orthogonal to the light incident surface, and two side surfaces orthogonal to the light incident surface and the light exit surface. Light from the plurality of point light sources introduced from the light incident surface is diffused by a diffusion unit arranged on the light exit surface or a surface facing the light exit surface. The light diffused by the diffusion unit is exited from the light exit surface. A distance between a point light source positioned at an end of the plurality of point light sources and the light incident surface is different from a distance between a point light source not positioned at the end of the plurality of point light sources and the light incident surface.

Light guide plate and liquid crystal display device

An apparatus has a chassis has a chassis inner face and a chassis outer face, at least one heating part accommodated in the chassis, wherein at least a portion of the heating part faces the chassis inner face with an internal space therebetween, and a film having a first face and a second face bonded to at least a portion of the heating part facing the chassis inner face. The chassis outer face is located on a side opposite the chassis inner face portion and in contact with an external space and having a radiation film interposed therebetween. The film includes a convex part, a concave part, or a repeated pattern of convex and concave parts in the first face or the second face. At least one of the first face and the second face is in contact with the internal space.

Apparatus with heating part

A surface light source device has a reflector plate, a light guide plate placed on an upper surface of the reflector plate, the light guide plate including a light guide plate main body having a light outgoing area, and a light introducing portion provided continuously from an end of the light guide plate main body, the light introducing portion having an upper surface side projected from an upper surface of the light guide plate main body in such a manner as to have a maximum thickness greater than a thickness of the light guide plate main body, a light source disposed such that light emitted therefrom is introduced into the light guide plate from a light incidence surface of the light introducing portion, a frame-like member having a uniform thickness, the frame-like member being adhesively applied to the upper surface of the reflector plate in such a manner as to enclose the light guide plate and the light source, a wiring substrate mounted at a lower surface thereof with the light source, the wiring substrate being adhesively applied to an upper surface of the frame-like member and to the upper surface of the maximum thickness area of the light introducing portion, and at least one optical sheet disposed on the upper surface of the light guide plate main body, the light introducing portion being sandwiched between the wiring substrate adhesively applied to the upper surface of the frame-like member and the reflector plate adhesively applied to the lower surface of the frame-like member.

Surface light source device with frame having adhesive on reflector and circuit board and liquid crystal display device

A surface light source apparatus including a point light source, a light guide plate which spreads light introduced from the point light source into a planar shape to output the light from a light outgoing plane, and a light blocking member which covers parts of the point light source and the light outgoing plane of the light guide plate. A gap shielding member is projected toward the light outgoing plane from a surface on a side facing the light outgoing plane of the light blocking member. At least a portion facing the light outgoing plane in the gap shielding member is made of a material having a light blocking property.

Surface light source apparatus

A point-light-source type light emitting portion faces a light incident face located at a corner portion of a light guide plate. A light diffusion pattern for emitting the light in the light guide plate from a light emission face is on the lower surface of the light guide plate. A diffusion prism sheet is on the light emission face. A prism sheet including prisms each having a concentric shape with the light emitting portion at the center is on the lower surface of the diffusion prism sheet, and an uneven diffusion plate is on the upper surface of the diffusion prism sheet. Light emitted from the light emission face of the light guide plate along the light emission face is deflected in the direction perpendicular to the light guide plate by the prism sheet, and the angle of beam spread of the light is spread by the uneven diffusion plate.
