A color cathode ray tube has excellent focusing characteristics over the whole screen thereof, as well as a total length which is short, thus providing a compact monitoring device. The Cathode ray tube has an electron gun in which the ratio between the diagonal size De of a phosphor screen and the distance Lg from the center of the phosphor screen to an end portion of a focusing electrode which forms a main lens portion of the electron gun and faces an anode electrode in an opposed manner is set to De/Lg>1.5. The focusing electrode and the anode electrode have single opening portions whose opening size in the horizontal direction is not less than 68% of the outer diameter of a neck portion and end surfaces of the opening portions face each other in an opposed manner in the tube axis direction along which the electron beams pass.

Color cathode ray tube with wide deflection angle

A color cathode ray tube has a phosphor screen and an in-line electron gun. Each of the focus electrode and the anode of has a single opening for passing three electron beams. The single opening has a diameter larger in a horizontal direction than a diameter thereof in a vertical direction. Each of the focus electrode and the anode has a plate electrode placed therein and forming apertures for passing the three electron beams respectively. The focus electrode and the anode forms a main lens therebetween. The distance from the main lens to the phosphor screen is 360 mm or less, the outside diameter T in mm of the neck portion of the evacuated envelope housing the electron gun satisfies 23.5 mm.ltoreq.T.ltoreq.25.3 mm, the value D in mm of twice the distance from the center of a trajectory of a side electron beam to a vertical edge of the single opening in each of the focus electrode and the anode satisfies 6.5 mm&lt;D.ltoreq.8.3 mm, and the center-to-center spacing S in mm between two adjacent electron beams satisfies T-15.5 mm.gtoreq.2S.

Color cathode ray tube having a small neck diameter

A color cathode ray tube equipped with an electron gun having a main lens with a large equivalent aperture by suppressing spherical aberration and astigmatism of the main lens sufficiently. The main lens for converging the three electron beams, which are arranged generally in parallel in one direction toward the fluorescent face, upon the fluorescent face, includes two electrodes arranged to confront each other with such flattened apertures that the diameter H taken in the one direction is larger than a diameter V taken perpendicularly to the one direction. The orbits of the two side ones of the three electron beams passing through the main lens have a constant gap S from the orbit of the center electron beam. The relations of H=2(S+R) and R&gt;S hold, if the distance between the orbits of the two side electron beams and the inner circumference, as taken in the one direction, of the electrodes constituting the main lens is designated at R.

Main lens structure for a color cathode ray tube

A magnetron cathode structure, including one or separate ceramic members having two openings therethrough with an electrical lead passing through each opening. A metallized section is formed on the interior surface of each opening, and another metallized section is formed on the exterior surface of each ceramic member to cause the respective metallized sections to form electrodes of first and second condensers. A resilient metal buffer member seals each electrical lead to the metallized section of that lead's respective opening. The resilient metal buffer members absorb thermal stress resulting from a difference in the coefficients of thermal expansion of the respective metallized section and the associated ceramic member. A metal outer frame member is sealed to the other metallized sections.

Magnetron

A magnetron having an anode cylinder, cooling fins fixed thereto, permanent magnets vertically superposed on the anode cylinder and a yoke, serving as a magnetic path, for surrounding these components. The cooling fins extend on the windward direction to facilitate a discharge of the air in the orthogonal direction to the air blowing direction by an arrangement such that an outer width of the fins and a width of the yoke or the former is equalized to a diameter of the anode cylinder. Also included are a dielectric heater having a heating space for accommodating materials for heating and a space for accommodating the magnetron, an inverter power supply and a cooling air blower. The cooling air is discharged to the heating space and/or to the outside via a vent hole formed in a partition wall after impinging on the anode cylinder while cooling the fins.

The present invention relates to a through-type capacitor having a cylindrical dielectric and a through terminal inserted into the former. The characteristics of the capacitor of the present invention reside in that the through terminal inserted into a through-hole drilled in the dielectric is in the form of a metallic pipe provided with a plurality of slits at equal intervals and the parts of the metallic pipe separated by the slits are soldered to a metallized inner wall surface of the through-hole serving as an electrode. With the above structure, the capacitor of the present invention has the advantages that since the metallic pipe having a plurality of slits is used as a through terminal, the thermal stress and the bending force applied on the dielectric at the time of thermal expansion of the terminal due to a temperature change are sharply reduced and the terminal can be easily manufactured without requiring much time and labor for coating a solder resist on the terminal as has been the case with the prior art technique.

Through-type capacitor

A cathode structure comprises a substrate including a porous sinter of a metal having a high melting point, which is impregnated with electron emitting material, a metal cup for receiving the substrate, a layer of solder disposed between the substrate and the metal cup, a covering layer disposed between the substrate and the solder layer and made of a metal having a melting point higher than that of the solder, a metal sleeve for supporting the metal cup, and a heater.

Cathode structure incorporating an impregnated substrate

A through-type capacitor with an improved anti-tracking characteristic is disclosed. A central conductor to be applied with a high voltage is fitted through the center of a dielectric member. An electrode is plated on the outer peripheral part of the dielectric member. An earth electrode is connected by solder with the electrode on the outer peripheral part. An armor case of insulating material is inserted into the earth electrode and surrounds the dielectric member. An insulating resin is filled in a space between the armor case and the dielectric member. The surfaces including the forward end of the armor case are coated with an anti-tracking resin film.

Through-type capacitor with improved anti-tracking performance

An improved construction of a through-type capacitor suitable for used with a magnetron is disclosed. The through-type capacitor comprises a dielectric member formed with a through hole at the center thereof, a central conductor inserted into the through hole, and electrodes formed on the outer peripheral surface of the dielectric member and the inner peripheral surface of the through hole. The electrode on the inner peripheral surface of the through hole is connected by solder to the central conductor. The central conductor and the dielectric member have a portion free of solder therebetween in which the solder is expandable.

A filter for preventing an electromagnetic wave from leaking from a cathode line of a magnetron comprises an inductance element connected in series to the cathode line and a reactance element of a coaxial structure including a portion of the cathode line as a center conductor, a surrounding dielectric material and a surrounding metal conductor. A cup-shaped conductor is arranged around the reactance element to form a parallel inductance component to the cathode line.

Filter apparatus for a magnetron

A magnetron with a filter case housing a through-type capacitor and a choke coil wherein a mounting plate for the capacitor is fixed in intimate contact with the wall of the filter case along a line encircling a through-hole drilled in the wall of the filter case for drawing out the terminals of the capacitor.

Magnetron with fifth harmonic suppression projection in through

A magnetron filter apparatus having a bottom box type filter case which is engaged and fixed with a cathode input side of a magnetron bulb and provided with a cover. A transformer which supplies a cathode current to the magnetron is contained in the filter case and a filter is contained in the filter case for preventing leakage of unwanted electromagnetic waves. Further, an insulation box in which the transformer is embedded and which is provided with integrally formed cylindrical portions through which lead wires to a primary winding of the transformer is disposed in the filter case. The insulation box is positioned by insertion of the cylindrical portions thereof into holes formed in a wall of the filter case.

Magnetron filter apparatus

In a magnetron cathode assembly having a filament for emitting thermoelectrons, upper and lower end shields fixed at upper and lower ends of the filament, a center lead fixed at and connected to the upper end shield, a side lead fixed at and connected to the lower end shield, and an insulating spacer having through holes with which the center and side leads are respectively engaged, the insulating spacer comprises a groove which has a width substantially the same as a diameter of one of the through holes and which clamps a bent portion of at least one of the center and side leads.

A magnetron comprises an anode cylinder, an even number of vanes radially extending from the inner wall of said anode cylinder and forming together with the anode cylinder a resonant circuit, and sealing members hermetically sealed to the opposite ends of said anode cylinder via seal flanges and respectively connected to a microwave power output section and to a cathode support stem. The anode cylinder and vanes are made of aluminum or an aluminum alloy, the sealing members are made from iron plates, the seal flanges are aluminum-clad iron plates, the sealing members are welded to the seal flanges, and the seal flanges are soldered by aluminum solder to the opposite ends of the anode cylinder.

A magnetron having a pair of pole pieces arranged at both ends of a cylindrical anode, a pair of permanent magnets corresponding respectively to the pole pieces, and a pair of intermediate rings each disposed between the pole piece and the permanent magnet is disclosed, in which each of the intermediate rings includes a disc portion, a plurality of projections formed on one of the surfaces of the disc portion and abutting on the pole piece and a plurality of projections formed on the other surface of the disc portion and abutting on the permanent magnet.
