A squeegee for forcing a print material into apertures of a mask screen which is disposed on an object, so as to print the print material on the object. The squeegee includes: (a) a plate body movable relative to the mask screen in sliding contact thereof with one of opposite surfaces of the mask screen which is remote from the object, while taking a rearward inclined posture in which the plate body is inclined such that a distal end portion of the plate body is positioned on a forward side of a proximal end portion of the plate body as viewed in a squeegee moving direction in which the plate body is moved relative to the mask screen; and (b) a bank portion provided on one of opposite surfaces of the plate body which is remote from the mask screen, and having a blocking surface which projects from the distal end portion of the plate body in a direction away from the mask screen. The bank portion is made of a material softer than a material of the plate body.

An apparatus for arranging and supplying a plurality of objects, the apparatus including a chute which includes at least one end portion extending in a direction inclined with respect to a horizontal plane, and which causes the objects arranged in an array to be moved, a hopper which is provided on a side of the one end portion of the chute, which stores the objects in bulk, and which includes a funnelform bottom portion, a guide which is provided between a lower end of the bottom portion of the hopper and an upper end of the one end portion of the chute, and which guides, in a guiding direction, the objects from the hopper to the chute while arranging the objects into the array, the guide including a plurality of guide members comprising at least one movable guide member which is movable relative to at least one other guide member in the guiding direction, arid a movable-guide-member moving device which moves the movable guide member relative to the other guide member in the guiding direction.

Arranging and supplying apparatus

A chip feeder for feeding chips stored in bulk in a case thereof, one by one, from a chip-supply portion thereof, the chip feeder including a partition plate which parts an inner space of the case into a plurality of rooms, the partition plate having an opening which extends in a direction intersecting a horizontal plane and which communicates the respective rooms on both sides of the partition plate, with each other, a movable partition member which extends across the opening of the partition plate and which is movable relative to the opening in the direction intersecting the horizontal plane, and a movable-partition-member control device which controls the movable partition member so that a lower portion of the movable partition member sinks in an upper portion of a mass of the chips stored in bulk in the case and an upper portion of the movable partition member projects upward from the mass of the chips.

Chip feeder and chip feeding system

An electric-component feeder for feeding a carrier tape carrying electric components at a predetermined component-carry pitch, at a tape-feed pitch equal to a quotient obtained by dividing the component-carry pitch by an integral number, and thereby supplying the electric components, one by one, the feeder including a main frame including a tape guide which guides the carrier tape in a lengthwise direction thereof; a cam which has a cam surface and which is provided on the main frame such that the cam surface is movable relative to the main frame; a cam drive device which is supported by the main frame and which drives the cam and thereby moves the cam surface relative to the main frame; a cam follower which is supported by the main frame and which follows the cam surface while being moved by the cam surface being moved by the cam drive device; and a motion converting device which is supported by the main frame and which converts the motion of the cam follower into the feeding of the carrier tape at the tape-feed pitch along the tape guide of the main frame.

Electric-component feeder

A method and apparatus for moving component supplying units, each of which carries electric components, along a reference line along which respective component-supply portions of the component supplying units are arranged so as to sequentially position a respective component-supply portion at a component-supply position. The method and apparatus also causes an external drive device to operate a drive member thereof to drive a member of a feeding device of each component supplying unit to perform a component feeding action and a component feeding preparing action and thereby feed the electric components of each unit one by one to the component-supply portion of each unit. The component-feeding action causing one of the electric components of each unit to be fed to the component-supply portion of each unit with the component-feeding preparing action causing the feeding device to be prepared for the component feeding action.

Electric-component supplying method and apparatus

An apparatus for conveying a circuit substrate, including: two belts which are provided at respective positions apart from each other in a first direction, and which include respective flat portions extending parallel to each other in a second direction perpendicular to the first direction; two substrate guides one of which extends over one of opposite sides of the flat portion of a corresponding one of the two belts, and the other of which extends over one of opposite sides of the flat portion of the other belt, the one side of the flat portion of the one belt being remoter from the other belt than the other side of the flat portion of the one belt in the first direction, the one side of the flat portion of the other belt being remoter from the one belt than the other side of the flat portion of the other belt in the first direction, the two substrate guides having respective guide surfaces opposite to each other; the respective other sides of the respective flat portions providing respective substrate-convey portions; and each of the respective substrate-convey portions including at least one support projection, respective upper ends of the respective support projections cooperating with each other to define a substrate-support plane, the substrate-support plane being higher than respective lower edge lines of the two guide surfaces and being lower than respective upper edge lines of the two guide surfaces.

An electric-component transferring apparatus having a suction testing function, including at least one suction device which sucks and holds an electric component by a negative pressure; a suction-device moving device which moves the suction device; a negative-pressure control device which controls the negative pressure supplied to the suction device; a negative-pressure measuring device which measures the negative pressure of the suction device; and a test control device which controls the suction-device moving device, the negative-pressure control device, and the negative-pressure measuring device so that the suction-device moving device moves the suction device to a position where the negative-pressure measuring device is present and the measuring device measures the negative pressure of the suction device.

Electric component transferring apparatus having function of testing

A tape take-up for taking up a tape, including a first member having a first friction surface; and a second member including a drum portion for taking up the tape, and having a second friction surface, the drum portion having an axis line, at least one of the first and second friction surfaces including an annular friction surface concentric with the drum portion, the first and second members being combined with each other such that the first and second members are rotatable relative to each other about the axis line of the drum portion while the first and second friction surfaces are held in contact with each other, one of the first and second members including a permanent magnet, the other of the first and second members including a magnetic portion formed of a magnetic material, the permanent magnet and the magnetic portion having respective shapes which ensure that the permanent magnet and the magnetic portion are opposed to each other at any relative angular phase between the first and second members, the permanent magnet exerting, to the magnetic portion, a magnetic attraction force which causes the first and second friction surfaces to be held in contact with each other while the second member is not subjected to an external force greater than the magnetic attraction force, the magnetic attraction force permitting the second member to be separated from the first member when the second member is subjected to the external force.

Tape take-up and cover-tape take-up apparatus

An adhesive dispenser for iteratively dispensing a controlled amount of an adhesive from a reservoir, by iteratively applying a pressure to the adhesive stored in the reservoir such that the controlled amount of adhesive is released from a nozzle connected to the reservoir via a supply passage and is applied to an object, the adhesive dispenser including at least one of an adhesive-temperature control device which controls a temperature of the adhesive present in the supply passage, by supplying a fluid to a first space at least partly surrounding at least a portion of the supply passage, and a pressure control device which is switchable to at least a pressing state thereof in which the pressure control device supplies a pressurized gas to a second space above the adhesive stored in the reservoir and a sucking state thereof in which the pressure control device sucks the gas from the second space.

Adhesive dispenser

An electronic-component supplying cartridge is provided which includes a movable and an immovable jumping-out-preventing member and is free from jumping of electronic components out of electronic-component accommodating pockets, changing of posture of the components, or standing-up of the components due to suction. A shutter 210 is attached to a cover 82 fixed to a cartridge frame, such that the shutter 210 is movable relative to the cover 82 in the tape feeding direction. The shutter 210 includes a connection portion 214 having a groove 222 opening at a downstream-side end thereof as seen in the feeding direction, and a pair of movable jumping-out-preventing strips 228. When the shutter 210 is moved to a second position thereof, the strips 228 are received in receiving recesses 200, respectively. When a component carrier tape is fed, the shutter 210 is moved to a first position thereof where the strips 228 cover a component accommodating pocket fed to an electronic-component picking-up position. A component-suction nozzle is moved downward in synchronism with the retracting movement of the shutter 210 to the second position, so that the nozzle holds by suction an electronic component through the groove 222 before completion of the retracting movement of the shutter 210. Since the component is not freed before being held by the nozzle, the component does not jump out of the carrier tape.

Electronic-component supplying cartridge and electronic-component

An electronic-component supplying system including electronic-component supplying cartridges each of which supplies each of electronic components, a support table to which the cartridges are attachable and which has a support surface for supporting the cartridges attached to the support table, a positioning device which positions each cartridge attached to the support table, on the support surface, and a preventing device which prevents each cartridge attached to the support table, from moving apart from the support surface, the positioning device including one or more first positioning projections provided on one of the support table and each cartridge, one or more first positioning grooves provided on the other of the support table and each cartridge, such that the first positioning groove extends in a first direction and is engageable with the first positioning projection to position the first positioning projection in a second direction perpendicular to the first direction while permitting the first positioning projection to be moved relative thereto in the first direction, and a stopper which defines a limit of movement of each cartridge relative to the support table in the first direction.

Electronic-component supplying system

A ratchet device is disclosed which includes a body, a ratchet wheel rotatably supported by the body, a feed pawl having an engaging portion engageable with teeth of the ratchet wheel, a support member for holding the feed pawl, a member for biasing the feed pawl toward the wheel teeth, and a drive device for moving reciprocating the support member between two positions to place the feed pawl alternately in its fully advanced and retracted positions, so as to rotate the ratchet wheel a predetermined angle in one direction. The ratchet device further includes a stopper member for contact with the feed pawl when the pawl is placed in the fully retracted position, to thereby prevent the engaging portion of the pawl from disengaging from the teeth of the ratchet wheel. Further, the engaging portion of the feed pawl is shaped so that it engages mutually opposed faces of the ratchet wheel when the feed pawl is in contact with the stopper member, to thereby lock the ratchet wheel against clockwise and counterclockwise rotations thereof. Also disclosed is a tape feeding apparatus which utilizes the ratchet device.

Ratchet device having a stopper member for preventing excessive rotation

An apparatus for mounting different sorts of electronic components on a substrate, including a table rotatable about an axis; a plurality of groups of mounting heads supported by the table, each one of the head groups consisting of a plurality of identical mounting heads that differ from the identical mounting heads of each of the other head group or groups, the mounting heads of the each one head group taking an electronic component of a corresponding one of the different sorts from an electronic component supply device and mount the electronic component on a substrate. The mounting heads of the each of the head groups being supported by the table such that the mounting heads of each head group are equiangularly distant from one another on a circle whose center is located on the axis of the table; a drive device for intermittently rotating the table about the axis, the drive device rotating the table by one of a plurality of predetermined rotation amounts for each of the intermittent rotations thereof, the rotation amounts including a rotation amount equal to the equiangular distance predetermined with respect to the mounting heads of each one head group; and a changing device for changing the one of the rotation amounts for one head group to another of the rotation amounts for another head group.

Electronic component mounting apparatus

A component supply device for supplying a component mounting device with electronic components at a supply position, which includes at least three supply tables each having a plurality of supply units mounted thereon such that the supply units have respective supply portions which are spaced from each other along a predetermined line, the supply units holding respective groups of electronic components of respective different kinds, a guiding device for guiding the supply tables such that the supply tables are movable in a moving direction parallel to the predetermined line, and a table positioning device for positioning the supply tables in the moving direction so that the supply portions of the supply units are selectively brought to the supply position. The table positioning device includes a first and a second carrier which are selectively engageable with the supply tables and which are reciprocable in the moving direction without an interference with each other to move the supply tables along the guiding device, and a first and a second feeding device for moving the first and second carriers, respectively.
