Provided is a fuel injection valve which achieves both atomization of a fluid spray and improvement of the degree of freedom in design of a spray shape, a spray direction, etc. According to a fuel injection valve () of the present invention, at least one of injection holes is a switching-spray injection hole (B), which corresponds to an injected spray, directions of a long axis and a short axis of a switching spray (A) changing due to an axis-switching phenomenon to deform the switching spray (A) at downstream. The plurality of injection holes other than the switching-spray injection hole (B) are coalescent-spray injection holes (A) for forming a coalescent spray () formed by coalescence under Coanda effect exerted between single sprays (A,A). The coalescent spray () and the switching spray (A) coalesce under the Coanda effect to form an integrated spray ().

A method of generating a spray by a fluid injection valve is provided. The fluid injection valve includes a valve seat (), a valve body (), and an orifice plate () having a plurality of orifices (). The flows in the orifices and the flows directly below the orifices are configured to be substantially liquid film flows. The directions of jet flows (), () from the respective orifices () are not necessarily matched to the central axis directions of the orifices and are not necessarily intersected with each other at a downstream position thereof. A fuel injection valve includes a valve seat portion, a nozzle hole plate, and a valve member. The valve seat portion has an inner circumferential surface including a valve seat. The nozzle hole plate is disposed at a downstream side of a fuel passage of the valve seat. The nozzle hole plate has a nozzle hole for injecting fuel flowing out from the fuel passage. The valve member seats on the valve seat to close the fuel passage and unseats from the valve seat to open the fuel passage. Diameter of the inner circumferential surface decreases as approaching to a downstream side. The nozzle hole of the nozzle hole plate is formed so that length of radial outside of the nozzle hole with respect to a shaft center of the fuel injection valve is smaller than that of radial inside of the nozzle hole.

Fuel injection system

A cylinder injecting fuel injection valve including a seal gasket sealing at least first two of three regions defined between the shoulder portion of the fuel injection valve main body, the shoulder portion of the cylinder head and an outer circumferential portion of the fuel injection valve main body. The gasket comprises an annular metallic elastic member and an annular support member elastically supporting the metallic elastic member. The gasket abuts at an abutting surface against the shoulder portion of the cylinder head at an axial position closer to the combustion chamber of the internal combustion engine than an upstream side end surface of the swirler member. The metallic elastic member of the gasket having a contacting surface contacting with an outer circumferential portion of the fuel injection valve main body, the end portion of the contacting surface of the metallic member being positioned at an axial position closer to the combustion chamber of the internal combustion engine than an upstream side end surface of the swirler member. The gasket having an inner circumferential surface opposing to an outer circumferential surface of at least the swirler body of the swirler body and the valve seat heated by the combustion chamber.

Device for controlling fuel injection

A method of manufacturing a sliding part includes: an injection molding step of injection-molding a compacted member of a molding compound which is a mixture of powder material equivalent to SUS440C, graphite carbon corresponding to an oxygen content of the material, and a binder; a degreasing step of heating the compacted member thus obtained by the injection molding step under a neutral atmospheric condition to remove substantially all of the binder from the compacted member; and a baking step of heating the compacted member which is degreased under a vacuum condition of 0.1333 Pa or less from a room temperature up to 1000&deg; C. to reduce an oxygen content of the compacted member to 0.02% or less by the reaction of C&plus;O&rarr;CO, and then heating the compacted member under an argon atmospheric condition of 133.3 to 3999 Pa for two hours after the temperature is increased up to 1250&deg; C.

Method of manufacturing sliding part and vortex flow generator for injection valve manufactured by that method

A method for manufacturing a cylinder interior fuel injection valve and an apparatus for adjusting a fuel injection amount used therefor may sufficiently cope with a fluctuation in fuel pressure or combustion gas pressure that would occur in an actual engine. According to this manufacturing method, a position of an adjuster is adjusted (step,), a fuel injection amount is measured (step,), and it is judged whether or not the measured value of the fuel injection amount falls within a range of a rated value (step,). Then, if the fuel injection amount is out of the range of the rated value, the process is returned back to the step,, and if it falls within the range of the rated value, the process shifts to a subsequent step,. Subsequently, a spring force of a valve closing spring is measured (step,), and it is judged whether or not the measured value of the spring force falls within a control range (step,). Then, if the spring force is out of the control range, the process is returned back to the step,, and if it falls within the control range, the adjuster is fixed (step,) and the process shifts to a next step.
