A throttle control apparatus which is adapted to be disposed near the accelerator pedal of a vehicle includes an electric motor, and an operational member which is operatively connected to the output shaft of the electric motor for abutting against the accelerator pedal in order to swing the accelerator pedal during operation of the motor. The motor is positioned within a housing and is operatively connected to the operational member by way of interengaging gears located in the housing and a rotation shaft extending through the housing. To facilitate the mounting of the housing on the vehicle dashboard, a two-piece bracket can be employed.

Throttle control apparatus

To make the turning 'on' and 'off' of a clutch in an electro-magnetic clutch smoother, the electro-magnetic clutch has a first rotating member rotatable in response to the driving force applied to the input axis, and a second rotating member arranged opposite to the first rotating member and freely rotatable about the rotation axis of the first rotating member and coupled to the output axis. A movable member is coupled to one end of a return spring and is disposed between the first rotating member and the second rotating member for movement along the rotation axis of the first rotating member. An electric coil generates a force to drive the movable member along the rotation axis of the first rotating member. Cylindrical auxiliary slide members are arranged approximately at equal intervals on the movable member and are disposed between the movable member and the second rotating member. The axes of the auxiliary slide members pass through the center of the rotation axis of the first rotating member and extend perpendicular to the rotation axis.

Electro-magnetic clutch with mechanism

The invention is directed to an actuator which is mounted on a base to rotate a rotary member about a rotational axis thereof. The actuator includes a first magnetic rotary member which is rotatably mounted on the base about the axis, and provided with a first engaging portion which traces a peripheral locus about the axis. It also includes a second magnetic rotary member which is rotatably mounted about the axis, and provided with a second engaging portion engageable with the first engaging portion on the peripheral locus about the axis. The first engaging portion is moved to be engageable with the second engaging portion when the first rotary member is rotated in one direction relative to the second rotary member, and the first engaging portion is moved to be away from the second engaging portion when the first rotary member is rotated in the opposite direction. A solenoid is concentrically mounted about the axis in stationary relationship with the base, and adapted for exciting the first and second rotary members to form a magnetic path therewith when the first and second engaging portions engage with each other. And, a rotating device such as a motor is provided for rotating the first rotary member about the axis.

Actuator for rotating a rotary member

A gear reduction mechanism is provided with a rotatable shaft supported by a pair of spaced apart bearings in a one piece retainer having coaxially aligned holes for receiving said bearings. A potentiometer is supported from the same retainer and is provided with an input axle adjustably connected to the shaft to provide an output signal indicative of the angular position of the shaft. The adjustment may take place through a vent hole in the housing of the mechanism which has a removable filter therein.

Rotatable shaft assembly for a gear reduction mechanism

An electric coil assembly is formed from an annular bobbin having a circumferential channel formed therein for receiving an electrically conductive coil. A pair of raised portions are integrally formed on one side of the bobbin and a pair of terminals are embedded in the raised portions. Each terminal is in the form of a U-shaped member having opposite ends protruding from the raised portion for connection with one end of respective spring strips which are mounted on said raised portions, the opposite ends of which are adapted to be slidably engaged with electric current supply members.

Electric coil assembly

A solenoid valve assembly includes a casing, a magnetic core fixed to the casing, a solenoid for supplying a magnetic flux to the magnetic core, a disk-shaped elastic supporting member fixed to the casing at an outer circumferential portion thereof, and a moving part supported on the elastic supporting member adjacent the magnetic core. The moving part includes a first member having a flanged portion located at a side facing a valve seat, a second member made of an elastic material which is in contact with the surface of the flanged portion and connected to the elastic supporting member adjacent the magnetic core and a third member made of a magnetic material and connected to the first member at an end thereof and covering an outer surface of the first member.

Solenoid valve assembly

An electromagnetic valve, comprises a casing for defining a flow passage therein; a valve member mounted in the casing for bi-directional movement between two positions for opening and closing the flow passage; an electromagnetic mechanism for moving the valve member in one of the two directions, including a core for magnetically attracting the valve member; a support for supporting the valve member in the casing and for moving the valve member in the other direction; and at least one resilient projection for limiting the movement of the valve member in the one direction for maintaining a separation between the valve member and the core.

Electromagnetic valve

An electrical apparatus is disclosed which comprises a combination of a solenoid device such as a solenoid valve, a relay or a plunger driving solenoid device and an energization control circuit which energizes the solenoid device. One end of an electrical cable is connected to the solenoid valve while the other end of the cable is connected to a connector. The electrical cable prevents the transmission of oscillations which the solenoid valve experiences to the connector. The energization control circuit is housed within the connector. The energization control circuit responds to a changing of a given switch from its on to its off condition, by energizing the electrical coil only during a given time interval. When the time interval has passed, it interrupts the energization of the electrical coil, and the energization control circuit itself is substantially disconnected from the power source.

Electrical apparatus including solenoid device and energization control

A collision between members is prevented as a movable part moves. A guide member is disposed along a diaphragm which supports a valve element. The guide member have a curved surface which the diaphragm, whereby a region of the guide member where it abuts against the diaphragm shifts. By shifting the fulcrum for the diaphragm, an operating response is achieved which stops the movement of the valve element before a gap between it and a core of magnetizable material reduced to zero as the valve element is attracted by the core. To define a positive change in the position of the fulcrum, the guide member is formed of a metallic material. The guide member is formed with openings to reduce its rigidity.

Solenoid valve assebly

A solenoid valve includes a non-magnetic bobbin accommodating stationary and movable cores in a central bore, a coil wound on the bobbin, a magnetic yoke arranged on the outer portion of the coil and secured to the bobbin, a fluid passageway opened and closed by the movable core, a cover surrounding the outer portion of the coil, and a control circuit module for controlling the solenoid valve. The control circuit module is imbedded in the cover to form an integral part thereof and is electrically connected to terminals securely implanted in the bobbin or cover.

Solenoid valve

An electrical coil including a pair of terminal members each having a generally U-shaped clip portion for connecting a terminal end wire of a winding of coil to an appropriate one of the terminal members. The clip portion has a curvature of at least 0.5 mm radius formed on its end wire receiving surfaces located on the side thereof which is closer to the winding of coil along the end wire extending from the winding.

Electrical coil and terminal with clip

A control valve device for use in a carburetor outer vent control system of an automotive internal combustion engine. The device includes a solenoid coil generating a magnetic force and a spring made of a shape memory alloy so that the device may control fluid communication in a fluid passage in response to an input current signal from a switch device and in response to changes in engine ambient temperature.
