A wireless communication system includes a first base station and a second base station. The first base station includes a designator for determining a first resources for using the first base station and a second resources for using other base station in the predetermined radio resources, and a first transmitter for transmitting a first data by the use of the first resources to the mobile station and designation information determined on the bases of the second resources. The second base station includes a receiver for receiving the designation information from the first base station, and a second transmitter for transmitting a second data by the use of the second radio resources to the mobile station.

The present invention concerns an exchange control method, wherein an old host exchange accommodating a remote switch unit or subscribers is adapted to be accommodated in a new host exchange, and its object is to allow call processing control to be performed by the new host exchange while making effective use of the resources of the old host exchange including the remote switch unit. The new host exchange and the old host exchange are connected in an interoffice configuration by a signaling link, and each exchange includes an emulation processor; the old host exchange and the new host exchange perform message editing and exchange between the respective emulation processors, and exchange control is performed in such a manner that when there occurs data or a request for basic control that is normally processed at the old host exchange, the data or request is transferred to the new host exchange, and the new host exchange processes the data or request and sends a notification to the old host exchange.

A virtual AN switch comprises a virtual AN unit. The virtual AN unit is implemented by virtually building the same capability as that of a normal access network device into a virtual AN switch, and is connected to a control switch via a V5.2 interface. Whether or not a subscriber accommodated by the virtual AN switch is accommodated in the virtual AN unit is registered to a subscriber data memory for each subscriber. The virtual AN unit performs a conversion between an intra-office signal and a V5.2 signal message. For the subscriber accommodated by the virtual AN unit, the virtual AN switch serves as a remote accommodating device of the control switch.

The present invention is provided to improve congestion control without changing a quality of a connection service of communications even if congestion occurs and realize a flexible correspondence. The congestion control method, comprising the steps of generating a call pattern as time series data of calls from a subscriber, performing Fast Fourier transformation on the time series data of the calls to detect short periodic component of a frequency, delaying the detected short periodical component with a prescribed threshold, and delaying a timing of sending a congestion tone (CT) or busy tone (BT) when the value of the short periodical component exceeds the prescribed threshold.

When the difference between the number (N.sub.i) of incoming calls that can be accepted and the number (N.sub.ai) of accepted incoming calls is decreased below a predetermined value, the number (N.sub.o) of originating calls that can be accepted is decreased by a predetermined correcting value (.alpha.), and the number (N.sub.i) of incoming calls that can be accepted is increased by the correcting value (.alpha.), Whereby, when there is processing congestion, the incoming call restriction level is relaxed and the originating call restriction level is increased. 7
