An industrial device communication system comprising: industrial devices that function as communication masters; industrial devices that function as communication slaves that receive control data from the industrial devices that function as communication masters; communication lines that communicably connect the industrial devices to one another; one or more switches for causing a communication group including the industrial devices that function as communication masters and the industrial devices that function as communication slaves to communicate independently from one or more other communication groups; and one or more switch controllers that control the one or more switches, causing the switches to switch between a state in which an inter-group communication line present between the communication group and the one or more other communication groups is disconnected, and a state in which the disconnected inter-group communication line is connected, according to the communication group that independently communicates in each of periods.

Industrial device communication system, communication method, and industrial device

A motor control system includes first processing circuitry that controls a motor. An upper-level communication path connects an upper-level communication port of the first processing circuitry to second processing circuitry that sends an instruction to the first processing circuitry via the upper-level communication path. A lower-level communication path connects a lower-level communication port of the first processing circuitry to a plurality of devices connected in series to each other. The devices include rotational angle detection circuitry and output circuitry. The rotational angle detection circuitry detects a rotation angle of the motor. The output circuitry outputs associated information that is associated with the motor and is different from the rotational angle or that is associated with an industrial device associated with the motor. The first processing circuitry performs a predetermined processing based on the rotational angle and the associated information, and sends a result of the predetermined processing to the second processing circuitry.

An industrial network apparatus includes: a control data communicator configured to transmit control data in a priority transmission period that occurs periodically; and a message data communicator configured to determine whether or not to start transmission of message data in a non-priority transmission period depending on a required transmission time of message data and remaining time of the non-priority transmission period that is different from the priority transmission period, and to transmit the message data when determining to start transmission of the message data.

Industrial network apparatus and data communication method

A synchronized communication system is provided in which even when communication devices are connected in series to a transmission path, devices connected to the communication devices are synchronized so that a communication cycle can be reduced. A second communication device includes a relay path and a return path which do not pass through a storage device, and a path selection switch therefor. A first communication device instructs switching of the return path from the transmission path, measures a transmission path delay time, notifies the second communication device of it, and sends a reference time of the first communication device for each communication cycle. The second communication device corrects its reference time using the transmission path delay time and the reference time. When a new second communication device is found during synchronized communication, the first communication device also performs transmission path delay measurement using the remaining time in the communication cycle.

A master includes a unit configured to register, for each slave, an expected communication time needed to exchange control data; a unit configured to register a slave in which a communication error is detected during exchange of the control data in a communication period; and a unit configured to re-execute exchange of the control data with the registered slave in the same communication period as that in which the communication error is detected. The unit configured to re-execute exchange of control data calculates a remaining resending time that can be used to re-execute exchange of the control data and, when the remaining resending time is longer than the expected communication time of the registered slave, resends the control data.
