Each power source switching unit () of a electric power system () constituted of a power operating system having a power generator () driven by an external power source () and an engine () is constituted of a means for sensing information on a selected power source and supply power in time series, calculating a supply power quantity every power source on the basis of sense data, and storing these sensing and calculated data. This power source switching unit (), disposed every power load group, comprises a means for communication with another power source switching unit (). A power source management system, constituted of the power source switching unit (), comprises a means for transmitting the sensed data or calculated data of each power source switching unit () to the control system of the power generating system, a means for receiving data transmitted from the power source management system, and an image display means for displaying the received data by graphing.

A control unit () for controlling each device which constitutes a electric power generator set () is provided with an operation-and-display device () so constituted as to calculate each electric power value data and each electric energy data on external electric power, generated electric power, and load electric power on the basis of sensed data on each value of external electric power and generated electric power transmitted from inverters () and as to store these calculated data and the sensed data, and connected to the electric power generator set () by wires or radio. A cogeneration system comprising the electric power generator set () is so constituted that data on the electric power generation current value of the external electric power source and the electric power generator set () and data on water-heat energy are sensed and transmitted to the control system (), and that the control system calculates data on an external electric energy, a generated electric energy, a load electric energy, a water-heat energy recovery quantity, and an energy efficiency to display the calculated data on the operation-and-display device ().
