A lower housing has a fuel grate situated at a predetermined level within the lower housing for supporting a fuel source. The lower housing has a first wall defining a plurality of air intake openings proximate the level of the fuel grate.

High efficiency wind resistant kettle grill

An enclosure for use in a cooking grill. The enclosure has a lower portion defining an opening that receives combustion gases from a combustion source via a bottom opening, and an upper portion interposing the lower portion and the cooking grate and having a floor with an opening that receives the lower portion and combustion gases therefrom and directs them to the cooking grate. The floor slopes to a grease drain.

Pellet grill with two piece firebox

A floor and an upright sidewall formed from two vertically coaxial components, each component having a floor baffle with a plurality of floor openings defined therein, each floor retained within a respective upright sidewall with a plurality of sidewall openings defined therein. A solid cooking fuel starter having a cylindrical wall defining an interior of a cylinder, and a baffle dividing the interior of the cylindrical wall into upper and lower chambers. A ratio of a width of the upper chamber to a height from the baffle to a top of the cylindrical wall, may be greater than about 1.69 to 1.

Charcoal starter with improved performance

A burner apparatus which can be used as a side burner for an outdoor grill. The burner apparatus includes a burner head having a plurality of surrounding discharge ports and a flame guide element positioned in the burner head for receiving the combustible gas feed stream. The flame guide element has a plurality of guide openings which discharge the combustible gas stream into the burner head toward the discharge ports such that the combustible gas stream flows out of the discharge ports of the burner head at an angle which is preferably in the range of from 0&#xb0; to about 30&#xb0; upward from horizontal. This greatly increases the effectiveness and fuel efficiency of the burner by increasing the flame contact area for a cooking pot placed on the burner, allowing the use of a more shallow burner pan, and allowing the burner head to be raised.
