A method for producing a composite material, including an assembly of one or a plurality of synthetic reinforcement fibers, impregnated with at least one thermoplastic polymer having a vitreous transition temperature Tg greater than or equal to 80&#xb0; C. including: i) a step of impregnating said assembly with a precursor composition in the molten state and including: a) at least one prepolymer P(X)n of said thermoplastic polymer, including a molecular chain P having, at the ends n thereof, identical reactive functions X, said prepolymer having a semiaromatic and/or semi-cycloaliphatic structure, b) at least one chain extender including two identical functions Y, which are reactive with at least one of said functions X; ii) a step of polymerization by mass (poly)addition, in the molten state, of said prepolymer with said chain extender, with said thermoplastic polymer of the thermoplastic matrix being the result of said polymerization by mass polyaddition.

Thermoplastic composite material reinforced with synthetic fibers and manufacturing process

The present invention relates to a poly(lactic acid) composition with improved impact resistance, comprising, by weight: 60% to 97% of poly(lactic acid) (PLA), and 3% to 40% of a mixture of compounds A and B in which A is a copolymer of ethylene and of an unsaturated monomer bearing at least one epoxide or carboxylic acid or carboxylic acid anhydride function, and optionally of alkyl (meth)acrylate, and B is a copolymer of ethylene and of alkyl (meth)acrylate, wherein said mixture having a wt % (A)/wt % (A+B) ratio of between 0.10 and 0.49. The present invention also relates to the manufacture of parts or objects using these compositions.

Poly(lactic acid) composition with improved impact resistance

A polyolefin graft polyamide composition incorporating lamellar nanofillers. Also, a tube, pipe or analogous formed from a multilayer at least one of the layers of which contains this composition. A thermoplastic composition having a polyolefin backbone containing a residue of at least one unsaturated monomer and a plurality of polyamide grafts, and also another component, wherein: the polyamide grafts are attached to the polyolefin backbone by the residue of the unsaturated monomer comprising a function capable of reacting via a condensation reaction with a polyamide having at least one amine end group and/or at least one carboxylic acid end group, the residue of the unsaturated monomer is attached to the backbone by grafting or copolymerization, wherein the other component consists of platy nanofillers, said nanofillers being phyllosilicates and representing from 1% to 6.5% by weight of the composition.
