Disclosed is a device, method and computer readable media for determining the adequacy of Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR). The device comprises an electrical source generator, an electrical signal sensor receiving a signal from the electrical source generator and a microprocessor. The microprocessor determines changes in impedance of the patient based on the signal received from the electrical signal sensor. Software executing on the microprocessor determines at least one of intrathoracic volume, change in intrathoracic volume, rate of compression, depth of compression, respiratory volume, and respiratory rate based on the change of impedance of the patient and outputs a signal indicating the adequacy of ventilation and compressions.

Impedance measuring devices and methods for emergency cardiovascular care

An electrode padset and a method of using the electrode padset are disclosed herein. The electrode padset is a single unit, consisting of multiple patient-contacting conductive pads arranged on a single piece of material. The padset is comprised of a plurality of conductive pads, at least one conductive pad adapted to emit an electrical signal and at least one other conductive pad adapted to receive an electrical signal, and an electrically conductive material coupling the conductive pads.

Electrode padset

A pair of compression sleeves and a manifold tubing set is provided as an integral unit. The tubing set comprises a first set of conduits integrally connected to the first sleeve and a second set of conduits integrally connected to the second sleeve. The first and second conduit sets are connected at a controller connection device comprising a manifold, having a plurality of fluidly isolated, branched fluid passages, and a connector for plugging directly into a controller for a source of compressed air. The only connection that must be made prior to operation of the device is the connection at the controller.
