Techniques for calibrating in-band and out-of-band receivers using complex signals. The techniques include receiving a signal from a wireless radio antenna at a first receiver and a second receiver in a wireless communication system. The first receiver is configured to receive in-band transmission during operation of the wireless communication system and the second receiver is configured to receive out-of-band transmission during operation of the wireless communication system, and the signal is transmitted at least partially simultaneously from the wireless radio antenna to the first receiver and the second receiver. The techniques further include determining a difference of complex signals for the first receiver and the second receiver based on measuring the signals received from the wireless radio antenna at the first receiver and the second receiver, and calibrating the second receiver with the first receiver based the difference of complex signals.

Calibrating primary and auxiliary multiple input multiple output radios

A preemption service in a wireless network is described. The preemption network increases the reliability of preemption traffic to be quickly delivered over the wireless network. The active preemption service in wireless networks causes the devices in a wireless network to enter a low transmit power state where every device transmits at a power lower than a high or maximum transmission power. Preemption traffic is transmitted from authorized devices at a high or maximum power, over the lower power transmissions, in order to provide an increased guarantee that the preemption traffic will arrive at the intended recipient.

Preemption via low and high power states in a wireless network

A method comprising: at a multi-link device (MLD) configured for multi-link operation: establishing a first Internet Protocol (IP) stack of a first IP type and configured with a first IP address of the first IP type, wherein the first IP stack is associated to a first MLD media access control (MAC) address of a first station of the MLD; establishing a second IP stack of a second IP type and configured with a second IP address of the second IP type, wherein the second IP stack exists concurrently with the first IP stack and is associated to a second MLD MAC address of a second station of the MLD; and exchanging, with a peer MLD, IP traffic using one or more of (i) the first IP stack and the first MLD MAC address, and (ii) the second IP stack and the second MLD MAC address.

Seamless MAC address rotation in multi-link device using multiple IP stacks

Techniques for wireless device roaming are disclosed. These techniques include identifying a wireless client entity for roaming from a first infrastructure entity to a second infrastructure entity. The techniques further include agreeing, between the client entity and the first infrastructure entity, on one or more roaming conditions defined using transition parameters for transition of a first data flow for the client entity from the first infrastructure entity to the second infrastructure entity, the one or more transition parameters including a sequence number relating to the dataflow. The techniques further include determining that a first condition defined in terms of a transition parameter of the agreed one or more roaming conditions is met, and, based on the determining, transitioning from providing the first dataflow from the first infrastructure entity to the client entity to providing the first data flow from the second infrastructure entity to the client entity.

Orchestrated roaming point

Differentiated service in a federation-based access network is provided by receiving a set of credentials from a User Equipment (UE) for a wireless network offering a plurality of service levels. In response to determining that the set of credentials indicate a realm associated with a given service level, network access is provided to the UE according to the given service level. In response to determining that the given service level is not a highest service level in the wireless network, a list of one or more preferred realms is transmitted to the UE, where each realm of the list of one or more preferred realms is associated with one or more higher service levels than the given service level.

Differentiated service in a federation-based access network

Disclosed are a system and method for avoiding interference in direct communication between peers in a Wi-Fi network. A station (STA) desiring to communicate directly with another STA reports a change in interference to a function that determines a set of unsafe frequencies caused by interference near the STA. The function sends a report containing the set of unsafe frequencies to the AP for the STA. The AP then evaluates the severity of the interference and selects a set of RUs that are suitable for a TXOP for direct communication between the STA and another STA. The AP informs the STAs of the selected set of RUs, and the STAs communicate with each other using the selected RUs. If allowed, the STA sends feedback regarding the success of the communication to the AP.

Peer-to-peer communication in Wi-Fi networks in presence of interference

An unsafe frequency report from a client device is received, the unsafe frequency report indicating that the client device is experiencing interference on a set of frequencies. A set of safe frequencies is identified, for the client device, based on interference indicated in the unsafe frequency report, and dynamic puncturing is performed based on the unsafe frequency report, comprising identifying an allocation of wireless resources for the client device during a transmission opportunity based on the set of safe frequencies, where the allocation of wireless resources punctures one or more of the set of frequencies, and communicating with the client device using the allocation of wireless resources.

Dynamic interference response in wireless local area networks

Differential time synchronization and scheduling may be provided. A first Access Point (AP) may wirelessly receive time-base translation parameters of a second AP. The first AP and the second AP may be neighboring. Next, a first transmission schedule for the first AP and a second transmission schedule for the second AP may be maintained. Then the second transmission schedule for the second AP may be translated into a time-base of the first AP based on the time-base translation parameters of the second AP. Then the first AP may transmit based upon the first transmission schedule for the first AP and the translated second transmission schedule for the second AP.

Differential time synchronization and scheduling

Adapting transmission schedules in a Radio Frequency (RF) environment may be provided. A Central Network Controller (CNC) of a Time Sensitive Network (TSN) may determine that a data path to a client device comprises a wireless link. The CNC of the TSN may generate a proposed transmission schedule for the time sensitive traffic to the client device through the wireless link in response to determining that the data path to the client device comprises the wireless link. The CNC may provide the proposed transmission schedule to a Wireless Network Controller (WLC) of the wireless link. The CNC may receive a confirmation from the WLC that the proposed transmission schedule can be met. The proposed transmission schedule may be configured in response to receiving the confirmation.

Adapting transmission schedules for a radio frequency (RF) environment

Seamless client roaming for Multi-Link Device (MLD) clients may be provided. First, a Traffic Identifier (TID)-to-link map may be established by an Upper Service Access Point (U-SAP) of a multi-AP MLD entity that assigns subsets of TIDs to at least two links of the entity. For example, a client device logically associates with the U-SAP, while the client device physically connects to a first and second AP of the entity on a respective first and second link, where the first and second AP include first and second Lower Service Access Points (L-SAPs) and are non-collocated. Next, using the map, data received at the U-SAP is directed over one of the two links for transmission to the client device. Further, frame aggregation and block acknowledgment functions may be performed by one of the first or second L-SAP based on whether data transmission is over the first or second link.

Multi-link operation with localized performance of B-ACK functions

Secure device location sharing may be provided. Over a secured link, an indication that a peer-to-peer device desires Automated Frequency Coordination (AFC) based location sharing may be received. Then, from the peer-to-peer device over the secured link, an identity provider (IdP) may be received for the peer-to-peer device. Next, validation of the peer-to-peer device may be requested from the IdP. From the IdP in response to requesting validation of the peer-to-peer device from the IdP, authentication for the peer-to-peer device and an indication that the peer-to-peer device needs AFC based location sharing may be received. An indication that the peer-to-peer device is approved for AFC based location sharing may then be sent to the peer-to-peer device over the secured link.

Secure device location sharing

Wireless dynamic file exchange is provided by, in response to a triggering network condition occurring, initiating an exchange of a parameter file including non-layer two content via a 802.11 message, such as a Generic Advertisement Service (GAS) message between an access point (AP) and a station (STA) connected to the AP; and in response to determining that the exchange was unsuccessful, terminating a connection between the AP and the STA. The parameter file may be sent over several messages and update the parameters for a new session or an existing session. Devices that do not conform to the updated parameters may be disassociated from the AP and re-connect to receive and implement the updated parameters.

Wireless dynamic file exchange

Embodiments for virtual reality (VR) and augmented reality (AR) scenes updates at VR/AR devices in a network are described. Network traffic for the scene updates is divided into traffic layers such as coarse grain (CG) layer traffic and a fine grain (FG) layer traffic for a give VR/AR scene update. The CG layer traffic is scheduled first in resource units (RUs) of a plurality a transmission opportunity (TXOP) for a VR device and FG layer traffic is scheduled in remaining RUs during the TXOP to provide synchronous viewing experiences to users of the VR/AR devices.

Synchronicity for virtual reality/augmented reality interactive sessions in wireless networks

The automatic determination of components for Time Sensitive Networking (TSN), and more specifically the automatic determination of the Gate Duration (GD) and Guard Band (GB) for TSN may be provided. To determine the GB and/or GD for a TSN gate, a Time Error (TE) may be determined, and TSN components may be received. An Access Category (AC) and a per-AC Enhanced Distributed Channel Access (EDCA) state may be determined using the TID, wherein the per-AC EDCA includes a Contention Window (CW) minimum. Next, an Arbitration Interframe Space Number (AIFSN) of an upcoming data unit is determined using the using the AC and per-AC EDCA. The GB may be determined based on the AIFSN, the CW minimum, and the TE. The Gate Duration (GD) may be determined based on the TE and calculating a number of symbols in a MAC Protocol Data Unit (MPDU) and the upcoming data unit.

Automatic determination of components for time sensitive networking

Collision avoidance in Multi Link Device (MLD) Make Before Break Roaming (MBBR) may be provided. It may be determined that a client device may comprise an MBBR client device. Next, a Request To Send (RTS) may be sent to the client device. In response to sending the RTS to the client device, a Clear To Send (CTS) may be received from the client device. In response to receiving the CTS, data may be sent to the client device.
