A doser including one or more cartridges for holding one or more products. The cartridge has a body defining a cavity for holding the products, a nozzle disposed on the body and connected to the cavity for dispensing the product from the cavity, and a piston arranged to move within the cavity to propel the product from the cavity into the nozzle. The cartridge also has a cap removably coupled to the cartridge for protecting the nozzle. Lastly, the doser has a dispenser for holding the cartridge or cartridges which actuates the piston, and removes the cap from the cartridge, so that the product is dispensed from the cartridge.

Dosing apparatus

Described herein is a dispenser for dispensing fluid that, integrated into one hand piece, comprises a variable volume chamber with a plunger disposed within the chamber and a chamber inlet and outlet. The inlet and outlet communicate directly with a common chamber volume and the plunger translates in a linear direction relative to the chamber along a common longitudinal axis to expel fluid from the chamber (expel stroke) and/or draw fluid into the chamber (drawing stroke). The plunger is linked to a controller, a power source and a motor that drives translation movement of the plunger. The dispenser described herein offers a variety of advantages over the art including accurate dosing without the user having the manually regulate the dose amount&#x2014;the amount to be dosed is related to the volume of fluid in the chamber which can be pre-set or varied automatically using sensors and controllers.

Fluid dispenser

A valve operating mechanism for use in a fluid dispenser is described, wherein the fluid dispenser includes a reservoir for a fluid to be delivered, a fluid outlet for the reservoir, a piston configured to move through the reservoir, and an actuator for the piston, the valve operating mechanism including a valve, wherein the valve has an upstream side and a downstream side, and in at least one point of operation of the valve operating mechanism, the valve is inoperable as a consequence of the pressure difference between the upstream side of the valve and the downstream side of the valve.

Fluid dispenser and a method for its use

An animal tag applicator () has handles () and () pivotally connected together and extending to respective jaws () and () for dispensing an ear tag () to be engaged about an animal's ear (). The tags () are in the form of an elongate, longitudinally connected, strip which can be accommodated within the hollow handle (). A slider () has a pusher () engaged with the front-most tag (A) to move it into the dispensing position where its male portion is engaged by the top jaw () and a cutting means () severs the connection between the front-most tag (A) and the immediately following tag. A releasable stop member () engages the front-most tag (A) before it is dispensed. A lost motion slot () enables the cutting means () to be raised before the pusher () engages with the next tag () to move it into the dispensing position.
