The technology described herein discloses systems and methods for upgrading biometric authentication system. The system can receive first biometric information in connection with an authentication request from a user. The system can authenticate the user via a first authentication system by comparing the first biometric information received in connection with the authentication request with second biometric information. The user can be automatically enrolled into a second authentication system using the first biometric information received in connection with the authentication request.

Systems and methods for upgrading authentication systems

A system, method and apparatus for detecting the presence of a portable computing device (a smart phone device) in an area of proximity to a vendor to determine relevant pertinent information. A beacon device at a retail location establishes communication with a user's smart phone device which detection is then send to a remotely located server. The remotely located server determines if the detected portable computing device is associated with a predefined category of user. Contingent upon the category of user determination, a determination is made regarding information pertinent to the user. The pertinent information is then caused to be sent to the user's smart phone device.

Methods and systems described in this disclosure electronically notarize a document. The system can receive biometric information from a user, extract characteristics from the biometric information, and compare the characteristics of the biometric information with previously stored characteristics of the user's biometric information. When the characteristics of the biometric information match the previously stored characteristics to a threshold, the system can create an identity of the user using the characteristics of the biometric information. The system can send a document to the user for cryptographic signature and receive an indication that the document has been signed. The cryptographic signature can be generated with a digest of the document, the identity, and a cryptographic key associated with the user. The system can inspect the digest of the document, the cryptographic key, and the identity associated with the document to verify authenticity of the document and the identity of the user.

In response to receiving the authentication information, a token generator associated with the user can generate a secure token. The secure token can be sent to the server. An authentication system may receive non-voice biometric authentication information from a user and authenticate the user via a first authentication method using the non-voice biometric authentication information. After authenticating the user via the first authentication method, the authentication system can enhance or create, based on a verbal request or a verbal command received from the user, a voice profile associated with the user. Once the profile is enhanced or created, the user is enrolled into a voice biometric authentication program.

Methods and systems for receiving a detection of a physical presence of a user and, in response, initiating a start-up process on an enterprise device according to a profile associated with the user are described.
