A photocurable silicone composition is disclosed. A cured product of the composition is also disclosed. The photocurable silicone composition comprises: (A) an organopolysiloxane having at least one aryl group with 6 to 12 carbons and at least one alkenyl group with 2 to 12 carbons in a molecule; (B) an organic compound having at least two ether bonds and at least one aliphatic carbon-carbon double bond in a molecule; (C) a thiol group-containing organic compound comprising; (C) an organic compound having two thiol groups in a molecule, and (C) an organic compound having at least three thiol groups in a molecule; and (D) a photoradical initiator. The composition generally suppresses crack and delamination of a cured product laminated between two substrates after thermal aging.

Photocurable silicone composition and cured product thereof

Provided is: a curing reactive silicone composition having sufficient toughness and pressure sensitive adhesive strength to temporarily secure various substrate even in an uncured state, having heat meltability and excellent moldability of a sheet or the like, and that can be quickly cured by high energy irradiation to achieve high adhesive strength; a method of manufacturing a sheet thereof a cured product thereof that can achieve high adhesive strength by crimping; and applications thereof. The curing reactive silicone composition comprises: (A) an MQ resin; (B) a chain organopolysiloxane having at least two groups containing an aliphatic unsaturated carbon-carbon bond, and a degree of siloxane polymerization within a range of 80 to 3000; (C) an organohydrogenpolysiloxane; and (D) a hydrosilylation reaction catalyst activated by a high energy beam. The amount of component (A) is more than 55 mass % and less than 90 mass % of the sum of components (A) to (C).

Provided is a curable silicone composition, a cured product thereof, a laminate body, a manufacturing method thereof, and an optical device or optical display exhibiting excellent performance for use as a member where transparency is required such as for an optical display, a touch panel, or the like. A curable silicone composition, comprises: (A) an organopolysiloxane having in a molecule at least 2 alkenyl groups with 2 to 12 carbon atoms; (B) an organohydrogenpolysiloxane having at least 2 silicon-bonded hydrogen atoms per molecule; and (C) a hydrosilylation reaction catalyst. Component (B) is present in an amount such that the silicon-bonded hydrogen atoms in component (B) are 0.5 to 2 mol per mol of aliphatic unsaturated carbon-carbon bonds in component (A), and 2 to 17.5 mol % of the silicon-bonded organic groups in the curable silicone composition are aryl groups.

A curable silicone composition, comprises: (A) (a1) a straight chain or partially branched organopolysiloxane having an alkenyl group, and (a2) an organopolysiloxane having an alkenyl group, including an organopolysiloxane resin having an alkenyl group, comprising a certain amount of branched siloxane units; (B) (b1) a straight chain or partially branched organohydrogenpolysiloxane having a silicon-bonded hydrogen atom at an end of a molecular chain, (b2) an organohydrogenpolysiloxane, including a organohydrogenpolysiloxane resin, having a certain amount of branched siloxane units; and (C) a hydrosilylation reaction catalyst.

Curable silicone composition and cured product thereof, layered product and production method therefor, and optical device or optical display

Provided is a hydrosilylation reactive composition and a method for producing a semi-cured product and a cured product using the hydrosilylation reactive composition, which exhibit sharp curability during the reaction while maintaining pot life and can provide a molecular design through the reaction control of the Munit/Dunit. The composition comprises: (A) a compound containing at least one monovalent hydrocarbon group having an aliphatic unsaturated bond per molecule; (B) a compound containing at least two hydrogen atoms bonded to silicon atoms per molecule; (C) a first hydrosilylation catalyst; and (D) a second hydrosilylation catalyst which microencapsulates component (C) with a thermoplastic resin having a softening point within the temperature range of 50 to 200&#xb0; C. and exhibits activity at temperatures higher than that of component (C). Also provided is a method for carrying out a hydrosilylation reaction at temperatures of two stages using the composition.

Organopolysiloxane composition

Provided is a cured product using a composition that is capable of quick curing at low temperatures while having sufficient pot life at room temperature, a method of producing the same, a laminate, and an optical device. A method of producing an organopolysiloxane cured product is provided. The method includes: (i) performing, without irradiating with high-energy radiation, a hydrosilylation reaction upon a composition containing a first hydrosilylation reaction catalyst that exhibits activity in the composition and a second hydrosilylation reaction catalyst that does not exhibit activity when not irradiated with high-energy radiation, but exhibits activity in the composition when irradiated with high-energy radiation, to obtain a thickened material that is fluid at room temperature or a thermoplastic material that is non-fluid at room temperature but exhibits fluidity at 100&#xb0; C.; and (ii) irradiating the thickened material or thermoplastic material obtained in step (i) with high-energy radiation to obtain a cured product.

Method for producing organopolysiloxane cured product, organopolysiloxane cured product, layered product, and optical part

Provided is a hydrosilylation reactive composition that has a sufficient pot life at room temperature, that can be cured at low temperature by exposure to high energy radiation, and that produces a stable semi-cured product during the curing process, and to provide a semi-cured product and a cured product obtained using this hydrosilylation reactive composition. The composition comprises: (A) a compound containing at least one aliphatically unsaturated monovalent hydrocarbon group in the molecule; (B) a compound containing at least two hydrogen atoms bonded to silicon atoms in the molecule; (C) a first hydrosilylation catalyst exhibiting activity in the composition without exposure to high energy radiation; and (D) a second hydrosilylation catalyst not exhibiting activity unless exposed to high energy radiation, and exhibiting activity in the composition by exposure to high energy radiation.

Organopolysiloxane composition, and half-cured product and cured product produced from same

Provided is a hydrosilylation reactive composition that can be used to obtain an organopolysiloxane cured product having high adhesiveness and sufficient mechanical strength, and a method for manufacturing a cured product using this composition. The composition comprises: (A) a compound including at least one monovalent hydrocarbon group with an aliphatic unsaturated bond per molecule; (B) a compound including at least two hydrogen atoms bonded to a silicon atom per molecule; (C) a first hydrosilylation catalyst; and (D) a second hydrosilylation catalyst including platinum, rhodium, ruthenium, or iridium and exhibiting activity at a temperature at least 30&#xb0; C. higher than the temperature at which component (C) exhibits activity. Also provided is a method for conducting a hydrosilylation reaction at two different temperature levels using this composition.

Disclosed is a curable silicone composition. The composition comprises: (A) an organopolysiloxane having at least two alkenyl groups and at least one aryl group in each molecule; (B) a polyoxyalkylene compound represented by the general formula: XO&#x2014;(CHO)(CHO)(YO)&#x2014;X, wherein, each X represents a hydrogen atom, an alkyl group, an alkenyl group, an aryl group, an acryl group, or a methacryl group, provided that at least one X in each molecule is the alkenyl group, the acryl group, or the methacryl group, Y represents a divalent hydrocarbon group, n represents an integer of 3 to 6, p and q are integers satisfying: 2&#x2264;p&#x2264;100 and 0&#x2264;q&#x2264;50, and r represents 0 or 1; (C) an organopolysiloxane having at least two silicon bonded hydrogen atoms in each molecule; and (D) a catalyst for a hydrosilylation reaction. The composition forms a cured product having improved properties.

A photocurable silicone composition comprises: (A) an organopolysiloxane represented by the average composition formula: RRSiOwhere Ris an alkenyl group having from 2 to 12 carbons, Ris an alkyl group having from 1 to 12 carbons, an aryl group having from 6 to 12 carbons, or an aralkyl group having from 7 to 12 carbons; provided that, at least 30 mol % of Rare the aryl groups or the aralkyl groups; and 'a' and 'b' are positive numbers satisfying: 1&#x2264;(a+b)&#x2264;2.5 and 0.001&#x2264;a/(a+b)&#x2264;0.2; (B) an organic compound having at least two ether bonds and at least one aliphatic carbon-carbon double bond in a molecule; (C) a compound having at least two thiol groups in a molecule; (D) a photoradical initiator having a phosphorus atom; and (E) a hindered phenol compound.

Disclosed is an active energy ray curable hot melt silicone composition that is non-flowable at 25&#xb0; C. and has a viscosity of 1,000 Pa&#xb7;s or less at 100&#xb0; C. The active energy ray curable hot melt silicone composition comprises: (A) a mixture of (A1) an organopolysiloxane having an aliphatic unsaturated bond-containing organic group and (A2) an organopolysiloxane optionally having an aliphatic unsaturated bond-containing organic group, (B) a compound having at least two mercapto groups in a molecule, and (C) a photoradical initiator. A cured product and a method of making a film are also disclosed.

Active energy ray curable hot melt silicone composition, cured product thereof, and method of producing film

A curable silicone composition comprises: (A) an organopolysiloxane represented by a specific average unit formula; optionally, (B) an organopolysiloxane represented by a specific average unit formula; (C) an organohydrogenpolysiloxane represented by a specific average composition formula; and (D) a hydrosilylation catalyst. A curable hot-melt silicone is obtained by subjecting the curable silicone composition to a hydrosilylation reaction to a degree that does not form a cured product. The curable hot-melt silicone is non-flowable at 25&#xb0; C. and has a melt viscosity at 100&#xb0; C. of 5000 Pa&#xb7;s or less. The curable silicone composition provides a cured product having excellent heat resistance and light resistance after being cured. The curable hot-melt silicone is non-flowable at room temperature, has low surface stickiness, and is readily melted by heating.

Curable silicone composition, curable hot-melt silicone, and optical device

A hot melt silicone that is non-flowable at 25&#xb0; C. and that has a melt viscosity at 100&#xb0; C. of 5,000 Pa&#xb7;s or less, the hot melt silicone being formed by subjecting (A) an alkenyl group-containing organopolysiloxane in which 10 mol % or greater of all of silicon atom-bonded organic groups is a phenyl group, and (B) an organopolysiloxane having at least two silicon atom-bonded hydrogen atoms in a molecule to hydrosilylation reaction in the presence of (C) a hydrosilylation reaction catalyst; and a curable hot melt composition comprising: (I) the hot melt silicone; (II) an organopolysiloxane which has at least two silicon atom-bonded hydrogen atoms in a molecule and in which the amount of silicon atom-bonded hydrogen atom is 0.5 mass % or greater; and (III) a hydrosilylation reaction catalyst. The hot melt silicone is non-flowable at 25&#xb0; C., has a low surface stickiness, and easily melts by heating. Furthermore, this curable hot melt composition has both hot melt properties and curability.

The curable silicone composition does not develop cracks due to thermal aging and can form a cured product having little yellow discoloration.
