The display device includes a plurality of pixel circuits, a scanning line, an initialization control line, a light emission control line, an initialization voltage line, a first connection line, and a second connection line. The first connection line and the second connection line connect the scanning line to the initialization control line connected to, of the plurality of pixel circuits, a pixel circuit different from a pixel circuit to which the scanning line is connected. Each of the plurality of pixel circuits includes a light-emitting element, a drive transistor, a light emission control transistor, a writing control transistor, and an initialization transistor. The first connection line and the second connection line are formed in layers different from each other.

Display device

The scanning line drive circuit has a configuration in which a plurality of unit circuits are connected in multiple stages. A unit circuit includes: a first transistor having a first conductive terminal to which a first-level voltage is applied and a second conductive terminal connected to a first node; a second transistor having a second conductive terminal to which a second-level voltage is applied; a third transistor having a first conductive terminal connected to the first node and a second conductive terminal connected to a first conductive terminal of the second transistor; a fourth transistor having a first conductive terminal connected to a control terminal of the third transistor, and having a second conductive terminal and a control terminal to both of which the second-level voltage is applied; and an output transistor having a control terminal connected to the first node and a second conductive terminal connected to an output terminal.

Scanning line drive circuit and display device provided with same

A nick is disposed in a display region so as to partly cut the display region. A first routed wire is routed from the display region toward the nick. The first routed wire is included in a first metal layer. A first conductive film is included in a second metal layer. The first routed wire and the first conductive film overlap each other via an inorganic insulating film.

A display device includes: a display region formed with a notch portion; and a frame region surrounding the display region, wherein the display region includes a first lead wiring line and a second lead wiring line. In a plan view, an extending direction of the first lead wiring line and an extending direction of the second lead wiring line are same. In a display device having a non-rectangular display unit, occurrence of a difference in luminance between a region with a high load and a region with a low load is suppressed. A region inside the display unit is segmented into a high-load region with a high load on horizontal scanning lines (an initialization control line and a write control line) and a low-load region with a low load on horizontal scanning lines. An initialization control line and a write control line that are disposed in the high-load region are driven by a discharge driver and a scan driver, respectively. An initialization control line and a write control line that are disposed in the low-load region both are driven by, for example, the discharge driver.

Display device and method for driving same

Narrowing of a picture-frame of a display device that can perform switching between vertical scanning directions is implemented. A gate driver () includes a shift register () including a plurality of unit circuits including n unit circuits connected to write control lines; a first scanning order switching circuit () including a plurality of first switching circuits respectively corresponding to the plurality of unit circuits; and a second scanning order switching circuit () including n second switching circuits connected to initialization control lines. The first scanning order switching circuit () controls operation of the shift register () based on scanning order instruction signals. Each second switching circuit applies, based on the scanning order instruction signals, an output signal from a unit circuit on a previous stage side or an output signal from a unit circuit on a subsequent stage side, as a second scanning signal, to an initialization control line.

Provided is a display device including a display panel which allows a curvature portion thereof to be narrowed near a terminal portion even when circuit blocks are arranged in the curvature portion. For a data line in the form of a polyline consisting of a plurality of short straight line segments in a first curvature portionof a display panel, as the distance from a terminal portionincreases, the slant angle of each straight line segment increases, the number of data lines d decreases, and hence the width of a data line area decreases. Accordingly, the number of unit circuit blocksin a parallel circuit blockdisposed in a circuit area can be increased by widening the circuit area in proportion to the decrease in the width of the data line area.

Provided is a scanning-line driving circuit configured with a plurality of unit circuits cascaded in stages and integrally formed with a display panel. The unit circuit includes a first transistor, a resistor, a second transistor, and an output transistor. The first transistor has a first conductive electrode supplied with a first-level voltage and a second conductive electrode connected to a first node. The resistor is connected to the first node at a first terminal. The second transistor has a first conductive electrode supplied with a second-level voltage and a second conductive electrode connected to a second terminal of the resistor. The output transistor has a control electrode connected to the first node and a first conductive electrode connected to an output terminal. The resistor is formed in a semiconductor layer. The unit circuit further includes an upper electrode formed above the resistor. This configuration allows the scanning-line driving circuit to prevent an operation failure due to a change in characteristics of the resistor in the unit circuit.

Scanning-line driving circuit and display device provided with same

A first metal layer, an inorganic insulating film, and a second metal layer are provided. A first wiring line led to a peripheral edge of a cutout portion is provided in the first metal layer. A second wiring line led to the peripheral edge of the cutout portion is provided in the second metal layer. The first lead wiring line and the second lead wiring line overlap each other through intermediation of the inorganic insulating film.

A frame region includes a first routed wire extending from one of a plurality of scan signal lines, one of a plurality of light-emission control lines, or one of a plurality of data signal lines. Display device for improving brightness unevenness in display region of peculiar shape

Provided is a display device including an irregularly shaped display panel that allows a frame area to be narrowed by utilizing the frame area in a cutout portion. Some emission circuits that respectively correspond to scan circuits arranged in a first curvature portion are arranged in a part of a second side portion that is near the first curvature portion, and remaining emission circuits are arranged in a first notch side portion. Accordingly, the emission circuits arranged in the first notch side portion have lines connected to second emission control lines in a second display area from the first notch side portion side, resulting in a fewer number of lines extending into the first curvature portion.

One of a plurality of data signal lines or one of a plurality of control lines that is electrically coupled to a first lead wiring line, and another one of the plurality of data signal lines or another one of the plurality of control lines that is electrically coupled to a second lead wiring line are adjacent to each other. The first lead wiring line is provided in a first metal layer. The second lead wiring line is provided in a second metal layer being a layer different from the first metal layer. To provide a display device including a display panel having an irregular shape capable of narrowing the frame even in a case where two types of drive circuits are arranged. In a display panel having an irregular shape including a frame formed from straight line regions and curved line regions, scanning circuits and emission circuits are separated. Then, the separated scanning circuits are arranged in a first corner portion, which is the curved line region of the display panel, while being shifted along an outer peripheral edge of a display region, and the emission circuits are arranged in a row on a second side, which is the straight line region.
