The vehicular brake system includes a hydraulic brake device and an electromechanical brake device. The electromechanical brake device includes: an electric motor; a braking force application mechanism to apply, to wheels, a braking force having a value based on an output from the electric motor; and a control device to control the electric motor. A brake operation input detector to detect an input of a brake operation is provided. The control device includes: determination section to determine whether a vehicle speed detected by vehicle speed detector is less than or equal to a predetermined vehicle speed; and operation limiter to limit or halt an output from the electric motor even when the brake operation input detector detects an input of a brake operation in a case where the determination section determines that the vehicle speed is less than or equal to the predetermined vehicle speed.

Vehicular brake system

An electric brake system with a parking function is configured to actuate an electric motor when there exists a request to apply a parking brake. With the motor being actuated, the electric brake system moves a locking pin from an unlocking position to a parking/locking position. The electric brake system is further configured to prohibit the actuation of the electric motor even if the brake pedal is operated while the vehicle is at a stop and when the parking brake operation has stopped.

A magnetic load sensor unit () is provided which can detect the magnitude of an axial load applied by a linear motion actuator () to a friction pad (). The magnetic load sensor unit () includes a magnetic target () which generates a magnetic field, and a magnetic sensor () designed to move relative to the magnetic target () corresponding to the axial load.

An electric linear motion actuator includes a locking mechanism for locking and unlocking the rotor shaft of an electric motor. The locking mechanism includes circumferentially arranged locking holes provided in a gear of a reduction gear mechanism, a locking pin moved toward and away from the locking holes, and engaged in one locking hole to lock the gear when the locking pin is moved toward the gear, and a linear solenoid for moving the locking pin toward and away from the gear. The plunger of the linear solenoid and the locking pin are formed as separate parts, and disposed coaxial with each other with their end faces axially facing each other. This prevents the moment load applied from the gear to the locking pin from acting on the plunger, thereby preventing damage to a bobbin slidably supporting the radially inner surface of the plunger.

Electric linear motion actuator and electric brake system

A magnetic load sensor unit is provided which can detect a load with a minute movement of its part, and which is durable and less likely to be influenced by temperature. The sensor unit includes a flange member () deflectable when an axial load is applied, a support member () supporting the flange member (), a magnetic target () which generates a magnetic field, and a magnetic sensor () for detecting the magnetic field generated by the magnetic target (). The magnetic target () and the magnetic sensor () are fixed to the flange member () and the support member (), respectively, such that when the flange member () is deflected, the magnetic target () and the magnetic sensor () move relative to each other, whereby magnitude of the load can be detected based on the magnetic field detected by the magnetic sensor ().

Magnetic load sensor unit

A linear motion actuator includes an outer ring member mounted in a housing, a rotary shaft rotated by a motor, planetary rollers mounted between the outer ring member and the shaft and supported by a carrier rotatable about the shaft. A helical rib is formed on the inner surface of the outer ring member which is engaged in helical grooves formed in outer surfaces of the planetary rollers. When the shaft rotates, the planetary rollers rotate and revolve, thereby axially moving the outer ring member. Uneven axial loads applied to the planetary rollers from the outer ring member are supported by thrust bearings disposed between the planetary rollers and an inner disk of the carrier. Aligning seats are provided between each opposed pair of the planetary rollers and the thrust bearings such that the contact surfaces of the aligning seats shift relative to each other under the uneven axial loads.

Electric linear motion actuator and electric disk brake system

An electric linear motion actuator includes planetary rollers mounted between the radially inner surface of an outer ring member and the radially outer surface of a rotary shaft, and a carrier rotatable about the rotary shaft and including radially movable roller shafts rotatably supporting the respective planetary rollers. Elastic rings each having circumferentially separate ends are each wrapped around the roller shafts to radially inwardly bias the roller shafts, thereby bringing the respective planetary rollers into elastic contact with the radially outer surface of the rotary shaft. Each elastic ring is prevented from rotating relative to the roller shafts, thereby preventing one of the roller shafts from being axially aligned with the gap between the circumferential separate ends, causing the elastic ring to be radially compressed and thus making it impossible for the elastic rings to radially bias the roller shafts.

A rotation transmission device includes inner and outer rings, a two-way clutch mounted between the outer and inner rings, and an electromagnetic clutch mounted adjacent to the two-way clutch. The electromagnetic clutch includes a rotor guide pressed onto the outer ring at its open end and a rotor pressed into the rotor guide. The rotor guide is made of a magnetic material having the same or substantially the same coefficient of linear expansion as the material of the rotor. Thus, even when the rotor guide and the rotor are heated and expanded, the interference between the rotor and the rotor guide remains substantially constant. Therefore, the rotor and the rotor guide can be reliably coupled together with a simple structure and at a low cost.

Rotation transmission device

A one-way clutch is proposed which is low in surface pressures and durable. It includes an inner ring having a cylindrical outer surface, and an outer ring having a cylindrical inner surface defining a wedge-shaped space in cooperation with the cylindrical outer surface of the inner ring. A ring-shaped wedge member is disposed in the wedge-shaped space. The wedge member is formed with a cylindrical outer surface and a cylindrical inner surface having a center of curvature that is radially offset from the center of curvature of the cylindrical outer surface of the wedge member. A resilient member is provided between the inner ring and the wedge member to bias the wedge member in a direction to be wedged into the narrow portion of the wedge-shaped space. When the inner ring is rotated in one direction, the wedge member will be brought into wedging engagement with the cylindrical surfaces of the inner and outer rings. Torque is thus transferred from the inner ring to the outer ring.

One-way clutch

The magnetic attraction force of an electromagnetic coil in an electromagnetic clutch is increased in a limited installation space, thereby improving reliability of operation. The dimensions of a field core housing the electromagnetic coil and a rotor are optimized to increase the magnetic attraction force. The thicknesses of cylindrical portions on the inner-diameter side of the field core and the rotor have larger thicknesses than those of cylindrical portions on its outer-diameter side so that the sectional areas of both cylindrical portions will be equal to each other. Also, a rotation transmission device provided with an electromagnetic clutch is proposed which can avoid deterioration of its sealing property and damage to its bearing and avoid cost increase.

Electromagnetic clutch and rotation transmission device

A sealing apparatus () has a slinger () with a substantially L-shaped cross-section including a cylindrical portion () to be fitted on a member of rotational side and an upstanding portion () radially extending from one end of the cylindrical portion (). The apparatus also has a core member () of a substantially L-shaped cross-section including a cylindrical portion () to be fitted in a member of stationary side and an upstanding portion () radially extending from one end of the cylindrical portion. Further included is a sealing element () including one ore more side lips () and () adapted to be slidably contacted with the upstanding portion () of the slinger () and one or more radial lips () adapted to be slidably contacted with the cylindrical portion () of the slinger (). An interference of a portion of the cylindrical portion () and/or () of the core member () and/or the slinger () near the upstanding portion () and/or () is formed smaller than that of the other portion of the cylindrical portion () and/or () of the core member () and/or the slinger ().

Sealing apparatus and a rolling bearing and a clutch apparatus provided therewith

A rotation transmission device is provided which is used to selectively transmit power. The aim is to stabilize the frictional torque when the rotor of an electromagnet absorbs an armature. A retainer is mounted between an inner member and an outer member, and is formed with a plurality of pockets, and engaging elements are mounted in the pockets. An armature is mounted so as to be nonrotatable but axially movable relative to the retainer, and a rotor is mounted to the inner member or the outer member so as to axially oppose the armature. An electromagnet attracts the armature to the rotor, thereby changing the phase of the retainer to bring the engaging elements into engagement with the outer periphery of the inner member and the inner periphery of the outer member, and thereby transmitting a turning torque between the inner member and the outer member. When the armature is attracted to the rotor, the large-diameter portion of the armature is attracted to the rotor.

This invention pertains to a power transmission device suited for use in a hybrid car for selective transmission of its engine and motor powers. The power transmission device is used to transmit and cut off driving forces from an internal combustion engine or a motor of a hybrid car, and includes a two-way clutch having engaging elements, and a control mechanism for controlling the locking and freeing of the two-way clutch. The control mechanism includes an electromagnetic clutch having an electromagnet and an armature. By mounting such power transmission devices on the outputs of the engine and the motor, it is possible to easily transmit and cut off driving force by simply turning on and off the electromagnet.

Power transmission device for hybrid cars

A power cut/connect device is proposed which is axially compact and is usable in a limited space. The device includes a first input member coupled to a power shaft, an output member mounted coaxially with the first input member, a first two-way clutch provided between the first input member and the output member, a second input member coaxially mounted with the output member, a second two-way clutch provided between the output member and the second input member so as to be disposed coaxially with and around the first two-way clutch, and a control unit for controlling the first and second two-way clutches for interruption and connection of power.
