An imaging apparatus is capable of storing image data in a storage. The imaging apparatus is provided with an image obtaining system that obtains image data, and an image data writing system that stores the image data obtained by the image obtaining system in the storage. The image data writing system stores the image data in a format which is determined in accordance with the number of pages of images represented by the image data.

An ink cartridge includes an ink chamber, and a movable member disposed within the ink chamber. The movable member includes a signal blocking portion, and a float portion. The ink cartridge also includes a guide, and the movable member is configured to move between a first position and a second position based at least on an amount of ink disposed within the ink chamber. Moreover, when the moveable member moves from the first position to the second position the moveable member slides along the guide.

An ink cartridge includes a movable member which includes a signal blocking portion disposed within an inner space of a translucent portion, and a float portion disposed within an ink chamber. The float portion is configured to move between a first position and a second position based at least on an amount of ink disposed within the ink chamber. The ink cartridge also includes a signal blocking portion provided at the particular wall and extending in a predetermined direction into the particular opening, and the signal blocking portion divides the particular opening into a first opening portion and a second opening portion.
