A work machine that can achieve size reduction and weight reduction of a housing. The work machine includes a housing, a motor fixed to an upper surface of the housing, a battery connected with the motor, and a blade driven by the motor. The motor is covered by a motor case fixed to the upper surface of the housing. The motor case is fixed to the upper surface of the housing in a different part from the motor.

A work machine includes a housing, a motor positioned on an upper surface of the housing, a battery connected with the motor, and a blade to be driven by the motor. An air introduction member that cools a control device by causing air to flow is provided on an inside of a motor case. Plural bottom surface ventilation ports and plural side surface ventilation ports are provided in the motor case. Both of the ventilation ports cause air to flow into the inside of the motor case. The plural bottom surface ventilation ports and the plural side surface ventilation ports are disposed at positions lower than the air introduction member and the control device.

A lawn mower includes a cutter blade that cuts grass; a body portion including a housing containing the cutter blade, and a grass clippings discharge passage that discharge grass clippings cut by the cutter blade from the housing; a grass clippings container detachably attached to the body portion, and a slide device. The grass clippings discharge passage includes an upstream opening connected to the housing, and a downstream opening for ejecting grass clippings to outside of the body portion. The grass clippings container includes an opening opened toward the body portion and connected to the body portion, an end surface facing the opening, and a side surface extending from the opening to the end surface. The slide device adjusts a distance between the downstream opening of the grass clippings discharge passage and the end surface of the grass clipping container.

The electric power equipment () includes a main body () defining a battery receiving recess () having an open upper end, and a battery () configured to be received in the battery receiving recess, wherein an upper part of a front end part of the battery is provided with a projection () projecting in a forward direction, and a rear end part of the battery is provided with a grip, and wherein an upper edge of the front end part of the battery receiving recess is provided with a supporting surface () configured to support a lower surface of the projection at least when the battery is being removed from the battery receiving recess.

A lawn mower includes a cutter blade that cuts grass, a body portion including a housing containing the cutter blade, and a grass clippings discharge passage that discharges grass clippings cut by the cutler blade from the housing, a grass clippings container that contain grass clippings, and an opening degree adjust valve. The grass clippings discharge passage includes an upstream opening connected to the housing, and a downstream opening for ejecting grass clippings to outside of the body portion. The opening degree adjust valve is provided at the downstream opening of the grass clippings discharge passage and adjusts an opening degree of the downstream opening.

A lawn mower includes: a rotation shaft coupled to a power source and extending in an approximately vertical direction; a blade configured to rotate integrally with the rotation shaft; and a housing having a downward opening and accommodating the blade such that the blade is rotatable; and a maintenance tool provided on the housing, the maintenance tool being contactable with the blade from the above. A cutting portion of the blade is capable of moving between a maintenance position at which the cutting portion is contactable with the maintenance tool and an operating position at which the cutting portion mows a lawn.

Riding lawn mower switchable between mulching and bagging modes includes: a delivery passage for delivering grass, cut by cutting blades in a housing, from the housing to a receptacle by delivering air; and a scroll guide provided in an entrance of the passage for directing the grass clippings to the passage. An overall shape of the scroll guide as viewed in top plan is a substantial isosceles triangle extending into the housing while tapering forward from a scroll guide's base section located in the entrance and as viewed in side elevation is a substantial triangle tapering forward from the base section. Left and right side surfaces of the scroll guide each comprises lower and upper slanting surfaces formed as different slants, each of which gradually increases in area from the distal end of the scroll guide toward the base section.

Riding lawn mower

An engine generator movable on left and right wheels. The wheels are provided on a rear section of a bottom cover via an axle. A cylinder of an engine is disposed so as to incline upwards towards the direction of the axle. Inclining the cylinder lowers the center of gravity of the engine and disposes the axle positioned below the cylinder at a high position, thereby reducing the height of the engine generator. The orientation of the engine generator during travel is stabilized.

Engine generator

Engine cooling structure directs cooling air, introduced into a case by operation of a fan, to a cylinder block of an engine and then discharges the cooling air out of the case through an outlet port along meandering flow passages. Case cooling structure directs cooling along the inner surface of the case. Further cooling flow passage directs the air to vertically-oriented heat radiating fins so that the cooling air flows upward along the fins and then is discharged through the outlet port. Metal cooling-fan cover is supported by the lower cover via mounting members, and a resin-made cover guide is fastened to the engine together with supporting portions and interposed between the fan cover and the engine.

Engine-driven power generator apparatus

An engine-driven work machine system includes an engine; a work machine driven by the engine; a frame supporting the engine and the work machine; and a sound-insulating housing provided on the frame. The sound-insulating housing includes a bottom plate; a pair of opposing sidewall plates extending from the bottom plate with the engine and the work machine therebetween; and a fuel tank connecting upper ends of the sidewall plates. A mounting flange formed around an outer periphery of the fuel tank is superposed on a flat tank-supporting portion formed at the upper ends of the sidewall plates. A downward-facing collar is formed at an outer end of the mounting flange. An upward-facing collar is formed in the tank-supporting portion and arranged inwardly of the downward-facing collar with respect to the sound-insulating housing. A seal member is provided outwardly of the upward-facing collar and between the mounting flange and tank-supporting portion.
