A centrifugal pump includes a rotating shaft, a pump substrate, a housing and an impeller. The pump substrate has a driving unit configured to rotate the rotating shaft. The housing has an inlet and an outlet and forms a pump chamber with the pump substrate. A body fluid sucked from the inlet flows through the pump chamber. The impeller is housed in the pump chamber and is configured to use the rotating shaft as an axis. The pump substrate has a magnetism generating source. The rotating shaft protrudes into the pump chamber from the pump substrate, and is pivotally supported on the pump substrate. A magnetic fluid is disposed on at least one of spaces formed among the pump substrate, the rotating shaft, and the impeller.

An adapter and its connection structure having a plurality of tubes bundled together as one that can be connected to be made shorter in the diameter direction to transport fluid to and from artificial organs and connect electric wires to the artificial organs without changing design of the artificial organs. The adapter and connecting structure connect multi-lumen and single tubes so their passages communicate with each other. The first attachment member, attached to the multi-lumen tube, includes first ports having an outer diameter substantially the same a lumen opening diameter at the end portion of the multi-lumen tube to fit into the lumen openings, and a first cutout corresponding to one of the lumen openings. The second attachment member, attached to the single tube, includes second ports that fit into the lumen of the single tube. The number of the first and second ports is the same.

Adapter and connection structure

A moving device in pipe lines is provided, which allows easy switching of moving/stopping and remote control of the switching by only electric wires enabling easy operation in the inside of small diameter pipe lines. The moving devicein pipe lines comprises a guide framein which a line of three or more coilsis interconnected flexibly in the direction of magnet flux, ring-shaped permanent magnetsprovided around the periphery of the guide frame slidably in the direction of the shaft, and a control means such as computers etc. to control by a preset program selecting the direction of turning on of the coils.

Moving device in pipe lines

A steering system for a boat, comprising a steering unit, at least one push-pull control cable and a pinion-rack unit. The pinion-rack unit has a rack casing having at least one inner cable guiding portion along at least one side wall thereof, a cable guide for outwardly guiding smoothly an inner cable of the push-pull control cable from the inner cable guiding portion, an end portion of the inner cable connected with the end portion of the rack, and a pinion meshed with the rack. The steering system can be easily mounted on a boat, does not require a wide space for mounting and for arranging a push-pull control cable, and can be applied to several types of boats, e.g. a boat which has two or more operator's seats.

A boat steering mechanism for permitting a remotely mounted rudder control by means of a push-pull control cable, comprising a rack being formed with a groove for inserting an inner cable, a projection projecting from the center or its vicinity of a rack casing into which the rack is slidably inserted, an inclined hole for slidably inserting the inner cable, perforated through the projection into the groove, a triangular guide portion having an inclined plane which continues from the lower end of the inclined hole and projecting from the inner wall of the rack casing into the groove so as to be inserted into the groove and a fitting member for fastening on one end of the inner cable, secured to the rack at one end of the groove, whereby the push-pull control cable can be provided with a large curvature and the sliding resistance of the whole mechanism can be decreased.

Boat steering mechanism

A steering system for a boat, comprising a steering unit, at least one push-pull control cable and a pinion-rack unit. The above pinion-rack unit has a rack casing, a rack slidably inserted into the rack casing, a cable guide for outwardly guiding an inner cable of the push-pull control cable; the inner cable being inserted into an inner cable path formed in a surface of the rack, a small guide groove being formed in the inner cable path and a small projection piece slidably inserted into the small guide groove and is formed on the front bottom portion of the cable guide, whereby the inner cable can be very smoothly operated and the space for arranging the push-pull control cable can be saved.

A boat steering mechanism for permitting a remotely mounted rudder control by means of a push-pull control cable, comprising a rack engaging with a pinion and being formed with a groove for inserting an inner cable, a projection projecting from the center or its vicinity of a rack casing into which the rack is slidably inserted, an inclined hole for slidably inserting the inner cable, perforated through the projection into the groove and a fitting member for fastening one end of the inner cable, to the rack at one end of the groove, whereby the push-pull control cable can be provided with a large curvature and the sliding resistance of the whole mechanism can be decreased.

In a steering device having an expansion and contraction-durable, flexible inner wire of a control cable, one end of which is fastened to an outer peripheral surface of a disc drive member rotatably mounted in a casing, the inner wire is fitted into an annular groove provided in the periphery of the drive member, and in a gap between the periphery of the drive member and the inner surface of the casing there is placed a series of bearings located or pivoted by a prescribed length of a flexible separator and having an engaging means capable of engaging with the inner wire or the drive member only in the direction of winding the inner wire. As a result of this construction, the steering device can be lightly operated regardless of the direction of rotation of a steering wheel.
