A motor system of the present disclosure includes a permanent magnet motor including a stator having N-phase windings and a rotor having a permanent magnet, N being a natural number greater than or equal to three, an inverter that supplies N-phase drive currents for generating a rotating magnetic field to the stator, and a zero-phase current supply unit that supplies a zero-phase current to the N-phase windings of the stator. The motor system applies the zero-phase current to the N-phase windings in response to an inter-terminal voltage of the permanent magnet motor reaching a predetermined value of the inter-terminal voltage.

Motor system

A rotating electrical machine includes a rotor and a magnet unit. The rotating electrical machine also includes a cylindrical stator and a housing. The stator is equipped with a stator winding made up of a plurality of phase windings. The stator is arranged coaxially with the rotor and faces the rotor. The housing has the rotor and the stator disposed therein. The rotor includes a cylindrical magnet retainer to which the magnet unit is secured and an intermediate portion which connects between a rotating shaft of the rotor and the magnet retainer and extends in a radial direction of the rotating shaft. A first region located radially inside an inner peripheral surface of a magnetic circuit component made up of the stator and the rotor is greater in volume than a second region between the inner peripheral surface of the magnetic circuit component and the housing in the radial direction.

Rotating electrical machine

A drive device for a rotary electric machine includes a first inverter that has high-potential side and low-potential side switching elements corresponding to phases of the rotary electric machine and is connected to a DC power supply, a second inverter that has high-potential side and low-potential side switching elements corresponding to the phases and is connected to the first inverter via a connection line, and a controller that controls the first and second inverters so that if a percentage modulation expressed by a fundamental wave component amplitude of a phase winding voltage and a DC voltage is a threshold value or more, percentage modulations of output phase voltages of the first and second inverters are more than 1, and so that a phase difference between a phase of the output phase voltage of the first inverter section and that of the second inverter section changes depending on the percentage modulation.

Drive device for rotary electric machine

A rotary electric machine according to the present disclosure provides a rotary electric machine including: a rotor; and a concentrated winding stator arranged coaxially to the rotor, in which the number of teeth of the concentrated winding stator is set to be a value where an integer which is multiple of 3 between adjacent prime numbers in a prime number sequence is multiplied by 2 and the number of poles of the rotor is set to be a value where any prime number between the adjacent prime numbers is multiplied by 2.

Rotary electric machine

An electric motor system includes a battery, an inverter, an electric motor, a zero-phase switching arm and a control unit. The inverter converts DC power output from the battery into three-phase AC power and outputs the three-phase AC power to the electric motor. A rotor of the electric motor rotates by the three-phase AC power output from the inverter. A neural point of the electric motor is connected to the zero-phase switching arm. A zero-phase current flowing through respective windings of the electric motor is adjusted by switching of the zero-phase switching arm. By this means, in the electric motor system, torque is generated at the rotor also using the zero-phase current as well as a three-phase AC current flowing through the respective windings.

Electric motor system

A drive system for a rotating electric machine system includes: a first inverter and a second inverter connected to first and second ends of multi-phase windings respectively; a selection unit performing selection between a first setting representing that the first inverter is set to a switch drive inverter and the second inverter is set to a neutral-point drive inverter and a second setting representing that the second inverter is set to the switch drive inverter and the first inverter is set to the neutral-point drive inverter; and a drive control unit performing a switch drive task of performing on-off driving of the upper and lower arm switches of the switch drive inverter to thereby input/output power to/from the rotating electrical machine; and a neutral-point drive task of maintaining at least one of the upper and lower arm switches of the neural-point drive inverter in an on state.

Drive system

Disclosed is a method of manufacturing a core sheet. The core sheet has an annular core back portion and a plurality of tooth portions extending from the core back portion toward a radial center thereof. The method includes a blanking step, a rolling step and a removing step. In the removing step, an insulation coating, which is on a region of a grain-oriented magnetic steel sheet for forming a band-shaped core back portion, on a band-shaped core back portion of a sheet piece or on the core back portion of the core sheet, is at least partially removed.

A rotating electrical machine includes a magnetic field-producing unit, an armature with a multi-phase armature winding, and a rotor. The magnetic field-producing unit includes a first portion and a second portion. The first portion is located closer to a d-axis in a d-q axis coordinate system than the second position is. The second position is located closer to a q-axis in the d-q axis coordinate system than the first position is. The magnetic field-producing unit is magnetically oriented to meet a condition where an angle which an easy axis of magnetization of the first portion makes with the d-axis is smaller than an angle which an easy axis of magnetization of the second portion makes with the q-axis. The magnetic field-producing unit is configured to have an intrinsic coercive force of 400 kA/m and also have a remanent flux density of 1.0 T or more.

In a power converter for converting DC power from a DC power source into AC power and supplying the AC power to a single-phase winding or multi-phase windings, a controller controls first and second inverter circuits and performs first power conversion control to lock open/closed states of switching elements in the second inverter circuit and switch open/closed states of switching elements in the first inverter circuit, and second power conversion control to lock open/closed states of the switching elements in the first inverter circuit and switch open/closed states of the switching elements in the second inverter circuit. The controller is configured to perform either the first power conversion control or the second power conversion control when an effective value of drive current through each winding is less than a threshold, and otherwise switch between the first power conversion control and the second power conversion control.

Power converter

A rotary electrical machine is equipped with a rotor that is rotatably supported, and a stator having a stator core that is disposed coaxially with the rotor. The stator core is configured as a plurality of stacked steel plates, and has a yoke portion that is of annular shape, a plurality of teeth extending radially from the yoke portion, and slots between adjacent teeth. A stator winding is wound in the slots. The yoke portion has holes that extend in the stacking direction of the steel plates, at positions of radial-direction extension of the slots, and molded powder bodies formed from a magnetic powder are provided within the holes.
