A flywheel device for a prime mover can be made compact in axial size and has an effectively increased inertial mass. The flywheel device includes a drive plate and a mass ring. The drive plate has an annular projection and is attached to a crankshaft concentric with the crankshaft. The mass ring has an annular recess and is concentrically attached to the drive plate by the annular recess being fitted on the annular projection of the drive plate. The flywheel device transmits torque from an engine as the prime mover to the input shaft of an automatic transmission while reducing variation in the torque.

A hydraulic controller comprises a first hydraulic control valve , which is mounted on an end face S of a first housing unit H , an oil pump , which is mounted on the first hydraulic control valve , and an input shaft of a transmission, which shaft is provided rotatably in a transmission housing. The oil pump comprises an outer rotor and an inner rotor in a pump casing and , which is mounted on the valve body of the first hydraulic control valve . The input shaft , which is inserted into the pump casing and fit into the inner rotor , rotates and drives the inner rotor. The oil pump sucks oil from the bottom of the transmission housing and supplies it through the mounted part into the first hydraulic control valve

Hydraulic controller for transmission

A multi-stage gear shift transmission comprising a plurality of forward stage gear trains capable of being alternatively established, and a reverse stage gear train having an idle gear portion meshed with a reverse input gear and a reverse output gear. The forward stage and reverse stage gear trains are provided between an input shaft and an output shaft parallel to the inut shaft. A reverse stage establishing clutch mechanism is interposed in the middle of the reverse stage gear train. The idle gear portion is divided into a first idle gear meshed with the reverse input gear, and a second idle gear meshed with the reverse output gear and capable of being connected to the first idle gear through the reverse stage establishing clutch mechanism. The reverse stage establishing clutch mechanism comprises a sleeve which is engaged with the first idle gear for relative non-rotation and for axial relative movement and which is capable of being meshed with the second idle gear, a braking member which is disposed between the first and second idle gears for axial movement so that it may be urged toward the second idle gear in response to the movement of the sleeve toward the second idle gear and which is capable of being rotated in unison with the first idle gear, and a stationary part fixedly disposed to temporarily frictionally engage with the braking member when the braking member is moved toward the second idle gear.

Multi-stage gear shift transmission

A multi-speed transmission having a plurality of forward speed gear trains and at least one reverse speed gear train wherein two parallel shafts, one fixed and the other movable along its axial direction, are mounted within the transmission casing. Shifting forks are mounted on said shafts to selectively engage the forward and reverse speed gear trains. For example, for a multi-speed transmission having five forward speeds and one reverse speed, a first shift fork is slidably mounted on a stationary shaft to selectively engage the first and second gear trains, a second shift fork is slidably mounted on the slidable shaft to selectively engage the third and fourth gear trains and a third shift fork is mounted on the slidable shaft so as to be slidable in only one direction to engage the fifth speed gear train. Movement of the slidable shaft in the direction opposite that which engages the fifth speed gear train acts to engage the reverse speed gear train. The shift forks are retained in their selective position by retaining mechanisms which have retractable protrusions engageable with notches in the shafts.

Multi-speed transmission

A selecting mechanism for a vehicular transmission operating apparatus having an interlock plate rotatably mounted to a mounting base plate. A selection shaft fixed at one end to the interlock plate is directly connected to the shift rod so as to transmit rotation of the shift rod directly to the interlock plate. A selection snugness arm is rotatably mounted to the mounting base plate and interacts with the selection shaft. A torsion spring retains the snugness arm in its non-rotated position. A snugging mechanism is connected to the snugness arm and has a spring loaded snugging member which rides on a variable heighth cam face so as to impart a variable resistance upon rotation of the shift rod.
