A transmitting apparatus transmits its own identification information to a terminal station and controls the terminal station to transmit to a relay apparatus a delivery permission registration request including the identification information and the email address of the user of the terminal station. On receiving the delivery permission registration request, the relay apparatus, then, stores in a delivery permission table the identification information of the transmitting apparatus corresponding to the email address, and controls the terminal station to transmit to the transmitting apparatus recipient registration request including the email address. Finally, the transmitting apparatus stores in a recipient list the email address included in the received recipient registration request. Accordingly, an email delivery system is provided, in which, while an email address of a user is registered at a transmitting apparatus offering an email service providing information, the transmitting apparatus offering the email service providing information is surely registered in a delivery permission table, so as to receive only emails which are not regarded as junk mails.

Permission-based electronic mail delivery system

Mobile device MS displays an unreceived mail list acquired from gateway server GWS by executing a browser. A user selects a desired e-mail by referring to the unreceived mail list. Prior to that gateway server GWS transmits e-mails to mobile device MS, gateway server GWS transmits to mobile device MS, an HTML header including predetermined character strings which are a field name (X-IMTMAIL) and a field value (WEB). Then, mobile device MS activates a mailer, and prepares to receive and store e-mails transmitted from gateway server GWS.

Electronic mail delivery system, mail server, and mail client

Mobile phone-adds information that indicates the extensions of attachment files the user desires to obtain to an HTTP request for obtaining e-mail, and sends the HTTP request to a mail server. When mail serverreceives the HTTP request, it compares the files attached to the e-mail with information included in the HTTP request, and determines whether to send the attachment files. In a case where it is determined not to send an attachment file, mail serverdeletes the attachment file from the e-mail, and sends the e-mail from which the attachment has been deleted to mobile phone-

Electronic mail distribution method, communications terminal, and server device

Character strings for selecting received emails are registered in an email server apparatus (). When receiving an email addressed to the user of a mobile phone (), the email server apparatus () uses the character strings to select the email. When it is during a trial period, the email server apparatus () delivers the received email with a selection result addressed thereto. When it is after the trial period, the email server apparatus () retains, as a history, information about the received email, and periodically transmits the history to the mobile phone ().

Electronic mail server apparatus

A provider code is added to a request signal transmitted to contents server SPfrom mobile unit MS by mobile communication network GSM. Border switching station CMMS adds a roaming flag to the request signal, and forwards the request signal to gateway unit GW. Gateway unit GW converts the provider code contained in the request signal into the country code by referring to the code conversion table, and transmits HTTP request to contents server CPafter adding the country code and roaming identification information to HTTP header. When contents server CPreceives the above-mentioned HTTP request, CPdetermines whether the requested contents are allowed to be transmitted abroad by referring to the transmission table. When transmission of the requested contents is not permitted, contents server CPtransmits an error notification to mobile unit MS to notify that transmission is not permitted.
