Provided is a vehicle front structure capable of, without breaking a lid provided at a thermal insulating cover, reliably closing a bonnet and the lid even if an attempt is made to close the bonnet prior to closing the lid. In the present invention, a thermal insulating coverincluding a lidthat covers the upper side of an engine in an openable and closable manner is provided below a bonnetthat covers the upper side of an engine room in an openable and closable manner; the lidis provided with, in the vehicle front-rear direction, a hinge fulcrumon the same rear end side as a hinge fulcrumof the bonnetand is openable and closable independently of the bonnetand the lidincludes locking meansthat is locked to the bonnetwhen the lidis open and is released from the locking in conjunction with a closing operation of the bonnet

Vehicle front structure

A vehicle includes an engine, an engine cover, and a cross component. The engine cover has a through-hole through which the cross component passes. The cross component is a flexible hose or a flexible pipe in which a body part extending in a cross direction is integrated with a diameter enlarged part having a diameter larger than the body part. The outer peripheral part of the diameter enlarged part makes close contact with the inner peripheral surface of the through-hole of the engine cover.

Air intake structure for vehicle

A heat insulating structure of an internal combustion engine (engine) includes a cylinder-head-side heat insulating cover () and a cylinder-block-side heat insulating cover (). Each of the first side walls () of the cylinder-head-side heat insulating cover () is disposed outwardly of, and is spaced apart from, a corresponding one of the second side walls () of the cylinder-block-side heat insulating cover () in the width direction of the vehicle. The lower edge of each of the first side walls () is positioned below the upper edge of the corresponding one of the second side walls () to overlap with the corresponding one of the second side walls () when viewed from the side of the vehicle.

Heat insulating structure for internal combustion engine

A heat insulating cover (cylinder-head-side heat insulating cover ()) includes a top wall () and first side walls (). The top wall () covers a top surface of an engine () that is a surface of an upper portion of the engine (). The first side walls () cover respective upper portions of both side surfaces of the engine () in a vehicle width direction. A portion of the heat insulating cover closer to the rear of the vehicle is provided with a hinge mechanism () vertically rotatably supporting the upper portion of the heat insulating cover including the top wall (). The upper portion of the heat insulating cover can be rotated, with the hinge mechanism () as a fulcrum, between a closed position where the engine () is shielded and an open position where the engine () is visible.

Attachment structure for heat insulating cover

A dual type exhaust system is used in an automobile having an internal combustion engine with transversely mounted front and rear rows of cylinders. Two exhaust pipe assemblies extend from the front and rear rows of cylinders, respectively, toward the back of the car body. The two assemblies are arranged side by side in a space formed in a floor panel. The exhaust pipe assemblies are, respectively, provided with catalytic converters offset in a lengthwise direction of the car body with respect to the space relative to each other so as to be arranged in a straight line in the space.

Exhaust system for automotive engine

An engine exhaust including a silencer which has a cylindrical shell, a front and a rear end plate which are provided to close both ends of the cylindrical shell, and at least three partition walls to divide an inside space of the silencer into a plurality of chambers, i.e. at least a first chamber, a second chamber, a third chamber and a fourth chamber. An inlet pipe which bypasses at least the first and the second chambers, and connects the front end and the third chamber. The inlet pipe has a plurality of small holes which face toward the first and the second chambers. The small holes facing the second chamber are surrounded by a sound absorber. An outlet pipe bypasses at least the second, the third and the fourth chambers and connects the first chamber and the rear end plate. The outlet pipe has a plurality of small holes which face toward the third and the fourth chambers. The small holes facing the fourth chamber are surrounded by a sound absorber.
