To provide a motor driving circuit and a motor driving system wherein the circuit occupation area is small and the IC size can be reduced. A polarity inversion data generating circuit is provided to use the higher-order bits of an address counter, which do not contribute to the access to a memory, as they are, as polarity inversion instruction data (flag bit). Then, two cyclic memory accesses are performed in the same direction to read a half period of waveform data twice. A polarity inversion instruction is issued for one of the waveform data as read twice. A calculation of the polarity inversion is performed in accordance with the polarity inversion instruction, whereby waveform data corresponding to one period of sinusoidal wave can be simply generated.

An image sensing apparatus, which has a constant-voltage driven stepping motor, comprises a PWM waveform generation part that generates pulse signals to be applied to switching devices; and a PWM waveform determination section that determines a PWM waveform to be generated by the PWM waveform generation section. The PWM waveform determination section determines, in accordance with the determined rotation speed value and output torque value of the stepping motor, a duty ratio range that is a range extending from the minimum to the maximum of the duty ratio of the pulse signals. It is designed that the higher the rotational speed value is, the wider the duty ratio width is.

Described herein is a drive-by-wire vehicle engine output control system. The system permits good-response acceleration by a driver's simple and reasonable operation, i.e., by operating an accelerator pedal and also a prompt response even when a sudden load change occurs. Further, the system permits precise speed control by simple equipment even when the deviation of a vehicle speed from a target vehicle speed is large. Output changes of an engine can be controlled within a permissible output change range by (a) comparing a target autocruise engine output with an acceleration demanding ending output, choosing the larger engine output and then controlling the engine to give the larger engine output, (b) controlling the engine to achieve a target autocruise engine output obtained from a speed correction torque and a running load torque or (c) limiting an engine control quantity on the basis of a permissible output change value.

An engine output control apparatus is used on a vehicle having an engine driven by a drive-by-wire system and includes a device for setting a first target engine control amount in accordance with an amount of operation of a manually operated engine control member; a device for detecting wheel slippage and for setting a second target engine control amount at which wheel slippage is reduced when wheel slippage exceeds a predetermined value; a device for setting a third target engine control amount at which constant-speed running of the vehicle is maintained when a manually operated constant-speed control member is actuated; and a selecting device for selecting one of the first, second, and third target engine control amounts. The selection made by the selecting device is based upon a determination of whether wheel slippage has exceeded a predetermined value and whether the manually operated constant-speed control member has been actuated.
