A chain guide includes roller element bearings adapted to guide, while rolling, a timing chain through which torque is transmitted. The chain guide further includes a guide base arranged along one side of the timing chain and having an opposed pair of side plates. Each side plate is formed with plural shaft engaging portions arranged so as to lie on a circular arc. The chain guide further includes roller shafts having their ends supported by the respective shaft engaging portions, and rotatably supporting the roller element bearings. An oil guide hole is formed in a wall surface of each shaft engaging portion facing the end surface of the roller shaft so as to extend through the side plate to its outer side surface.

Chain guide and chain transmission device

A sensor equipped wheel support bearing assembly, in which detection error is relieved to accurately estimate load is provided. A vehicle body fitting flange of an outer member of the bearing assembly has a front elevational shape of line symmetry or of point symmetry. A sensor unit including a strain generating member having two or more contact fixing segments to be fixed to the outer member and a strain sensor is provided at an arcuately sectioned portion lying from the flange to the outer member, or an outer peripheral surface portion of the outer member adjoining to the outboard side thereof, or a position crossing a line segment passing through a center of a rolling element or a position adjoining thereto. Alternatively, a plurality of sensor units are provided on the outer periphery of the outer member in a fashion spaced circumferentially equidistantly.

Wheel bearing with sensor

A vehicle wheel bearing apparatus which can increase the strength and durability of the wheel hub under rotary bending condition as well as can reduce its weight without changing the configuration and dimension of the wheel mounting flange and without causing surface run-out has an outer member formed with double row outer raceway surfaces on its inner peripheral surface. An inner member is formed with double row inner raceway surfaces arranged opposite to the double row outer raceway surfaces. Double row rolling elements are freely rollable between the outer and inner raceway surfaces respectively of the outer and inner members. A wheel mounting flange is integrally formed with either one of the outer or inner members. At least one of the outer or inner members has threaded apertures to receive hub bolts to secure a wheel. At least one of the outer or inner members formed with the wheel mounting flange which is heat treated to have a predetermined surface hardness. The raceway surfaces are hardened by quenching to a predetermined surface hardness.
