A driving apparatus includes a fixed unit, a first movable unit held rotatably about a first axis relative to the fixed unit, a second movable unit held rotatably about a second axis different from the first axis relative to the first movable unit, a bearing configured to support the first movable unit rotatably about the first axis relative to the fixed unit, a first wiring having one end connected to the fixed unit and another end connected to the first movable unit, and a second wiring having one end connected to the fixed unit and another end connected to one of the first movable unit and the second movable unit. The first wiring includes a wound portion wound around the first axis and provided outside the bearing in a radial direction of the bearing. The second wiring is inserted inside the bearing.

A vibration type motor includes a vibration plate configured to vibrate by a piezoelectric element, a friction member including a contact surface for the vibration plate, and configured to move relative to the vibration plate as the vibration plate vibrates, and an adhesive member provided on the contact surface of the friction member. The vibration plate includes a protrusion that protrudes toward a side opposite to the piezoelectric element. The protrusion includes a sidewall portion, at least one contact portion that contacts the contact surface, and a flat portion provided between the contact portion and the sidewall portion. The adhesive member has an opening that avoids a moving range of the contact portion. The opening in the adhesive member is located outside the sidewall portion. An end of the adhesive member is located outside the friction member.

A display unit and a lens included in a display device constitute a plurality of display optical systems that display a video for each of a user's left eye and right eye. The display device includes a diopter change instruction unit and a diopter change driving unit that can change a diopter related to the plurality of display optical systems, and an object position calculation unit that calculates an object position of a display object in a video. The diopter change instruction unit gives a driving instruction to the diopter change driving unit on the basis of information acquired from a user information recording unit and an operation mode recording unit that record information on usage conditions of the display device.

The flexible substrate is fixed on a surface of the substrate-fixing portion provided in a direction opposite to a direction in which the vibrator is brought into pressure-contact with the friction member.

A solid state imaging device of the invention includes a pixel array including a pixel having first and second photoelectric conversion units; a scanning unit that drives the pixel such that an accumulation period of an intermediate time of the first photoelectric conversion unit matches an intermediate time of an accumulation period of the second photoelectric conversion unit; a readout unit that reads out a first image signal from the first photoelectric conversion unit and reads out a second image signal from the second photoelectric conversion unit; and a generating unit that generates images by using the first and second image signals whose accumulation periods have the matched intermediate time.
