The present invention provides an infrared sensor and an infrared sensor module having reduced noise, improved detection precision, and reduced manufacture cost. The infrared sensor includes a first substrate transmitting infrared light including at least one reduced-pressure and sealed cavity, at least one infrared sensing unit provided on the side of the first substrate, and at least one infrared sensing unit generating an output change. The infrared sensor includes a second substrate stacked on the first substrate with a recess, a reflection face capable of reflecting the infrared light, and at least one arithmetic circuit for amplifying or integrating an output, arranged in such a manner that the reflection face is sandwiched between the at least one sensing unit and the least one arithmetic circuit.

A surface light source device capable of suppressing generation of bright line and preventing generation of crush of pattern forming on a light guide plate even when pressure is applied, includes a plurality of deflection patterns and diffusion patterns wherein the diffusion pattern is formed on the light source side of the deflection pattern. Further, the diffusion pattern is provided so as not to protrude outwards from the light guide plate from the plane opposite to the light-emitting plane and the diffusion pattern diffuses the light incident from a light guide direction to a direction different from the light guide direction seen from a direction perpendicular to the light emitting plane.

A double-side LCD having a surface light source device including a light guide plate and a light source facing one end face of the light guide plate. A plurality of deflection patterns are formed in a surface facing a light outgoing plane of the light guide plate, the deflection pattern includes an inclined plane facing the light source side and a re-incident plane substantially perpendicular to the light outgoing plane. Light from the light source is reflected by the inclined plane and outputted from the light outgoing plane to the LCD. Double-side display device with surface light source device having deflection patterns

A reflector is used in a display device and is disposed parallel to a predetermined plane, and has plural unit reflecting portions each having a reflection face for reflecting incident light in a direction different from that of regular reflection light of the predetermined plane. A reflector used for a display device has a plurality of unit reflecting portions. The unit reflecting portions are arranged by repeating arrangement patterns of unit regions. The unit regions have a repetition pitch that is integral times the pitch of pixels of a liquid crystal display and more than 5000 &#x3bc;m. More preferably, the repetition pitch of unit regions is integral times the pitch of pixels of a liquid crystal display and more than 10000 &#x3bc;m.
