A leakage detector for a fuel vapor treatment device includes a fuel vapor treatment device that maintains the interior of a treatment system of the fuel vapor treatment device in a sealed state. In addition, the leakage detector includes; a closing valve and shutoff valve that can shut off fluid communication between the fuel tank and the canister to section the interior of the treatment system into a first region including the fuel tank and a second region including the canister. Further, the leakage detector includes an aspirator that applies a negative pressure to the second region. The leakage detector for the fuel vapor treatment device determines the presence and/or absence of leakage in the first region on the basis of a change in the pressure in the first region while an engine is stopped and determines the presence and/or absence of leakage in the second region on the basis of a change in the pressure in the second region by applying a negative pressure to the second region while the engine is operated.

Leakage detector for fuel vapor treatment device

An evaporative fuel processing device includes a canister, a purge path connected to the canister and an intake path that is connected to an internal combustion engine and through which purge gas flows from the canister to the intake path, and a flow control valve provided in the purge path to control the flow rate of the purge gas, wherein: the device further includes a first pressure detection unit that detects a first pressure at a first position between the canister and the flow control vale, and a concentration estimation unit that estimates a purge concentration of the purge gas flowing in the purge path; and the concentration estimation unit determines an increase in the first pressure generated by closing the flow control valve based on the detection value from the first pressure detection unit, and estimates the purge concentration based on the determined increase in the first pressure.

Evaporated fuel processing device

An evaporated fuel processing device includes a canister to which evaporated fuel generated in a fuel tank adheres; a purge passage passed through purge gas and connecting the canister and an intake pipe of an engine; a purge control valve provided on the purge passage and controlling a supply amount of the purge gas to the intake pipe by changing a duty cycle; a pump provided on the purge passage and feeding the purge gas from the canister to the intake pipe; and a controller control the duty cycle of the purge control valve. The controller detects a pressure difference between pressures at upstream and downstream ends of the purge passage while the purge gas is supplied, and corrects the duty cycle based on a supply amount of the purge gas with respect to the duty cycle with no influence of the pump, by using the detected pressure difference.

Evaporated fuel processing device and control device

In an evaporated fuel treatment apparatus, a controller performs first purge concentration determination control by gradually increasing a purge flow rate in increments of a predetermined amount and detect a purge concentration based on a detection value of the pressure sensor. As the first purge concentration determination control, the controller performs a control to prohibit changing of an operating state of the purge pump or changing of an open state of the purge valve until a detected concentration determination time at which a variation range of the purge concentration detected based on a detection value of a pressure sensor becomes equal to or less than a predetermined value.

Evaporated fuel treatment apparatus

A detecting unit that detects a specific pressure difference between a pressure of gas that has passed throuch a canister and a pump and a pressure of the gas before passing through the canister and the pump. A gas flow rate from the pump may be higher with a smaller pressure difference between upstream and downstream sides relative to the pump, and higher with a higher purge gas density. A gas flow rate from the canister may be lower with a smaller pressure difference between upstream and downstream sides relative to the canister, and lower with a higher purge gas density. An estimating unit may estimate a flow rate of the purge gas while the specific pressure difference is an unchanged pressure difference being a pressure at which the flow rate of the gas is not chanced by the density of the purge gas.

A fuel supply system for an internal combustion engine includes a heat exchanger that has a heat exchanging wall between a liquefied fuel passage and an engine coolant passage. Heated and vaporized fuel flowing out from the liquefied fuel passage of the heat exchanger is supplied to the internal combustion engine. A flow rate of liquefied fuel supplied to the liquefied fuel passage of the heat exchanger is set. A flow rate of engine coolant supplied to the engine coolant passage of the heat exchanger is determined on the basis of a temperature of the engine coolant supplied to the engine coolant passage of the heat exchanger such that nucleate boiling or transition boiling of the liquefied fuel in the set flow rate occurs near a boundary between nucleate boiling and transition boiling in the liquefied fuel passage.

Fuel supply system and fuel supply method for internal combustion engine

A fuel feed system which causes liquid fuel to evaporate so as to feed gaseous fuel, provided with an evaporator which includes a heater which heats the liquid fuel to vaporize it and an electric heater which adjusts the temperature of the heater. The heater has a heat conduction surface which supplies heat to the liquid fuel. A difference between the temperature of the heat conduction surface of the heater and the boiling point of the fuel at the evaporator is used as the basis to change the temperature of the heater and adjust the heat flux at the heat conduction surface.
