A semiconductor device includes a multi-layer board which a wiring pattern and a grounding pattern are formed. A plurality of semiconductor elements are mounted on the multi-layer board. An insulating sealing member is provided on the multi-layer board and is covering the plurality of semiconductor elements. A metal film is provided on the insulating sealing member. An in-groove metal is provided in contact with a plurality of grooves extending from a side-surface upper end of the insulating sealing member to a side-surface lower end of the multi-layer board. An in-hole metal is provided in an inner wall of a hole penetrating through the insulating sealing member and is extending to the multi-layer board. The in-hole metal is contacting with the metal film and the grounding pattern.

A microwave module includes a plurality of microwave devices and a microwave module substrate. Each of the plurality of microwave devices exchanges a signal with a corresponding one of a plurality of antenna elements. The microwave module substrate includes a mounting surface on which the plurality of microwave devices are mounted. The microwave module substrate is electrically connected to each of the plurality of antenna elements. The mounting surface is perpendicular to a plane surface on which the plurality of antenna elements are arrayed.

An apparatus includes a storage control unit that divides, into two-dimensional blocks, a feature image of a layer and stores the respective blocks in any one of a predetermined number of memories, a unit that determines a pattern for reading blocks from the memories based on information relating to an operation on the feature image, and a unit that reads blocks from the memories in accordance with the pattern. The storage control unit assigns repeatedly, for the two-dimensional blocks, the memories in a predetermined order from a head row/column along a row/column. In a second or a subsequent row/column, a memory, which the assignment is started, is shifted by a constant number from a previous row/column in the predetermined order.

When a start signal is supplied from a processing unit, a variable-length processing unit reads out variable-length data stored in a memory unit, executes an operation instructed by instruction information stored in an instruction memory, and outputs an operation end signal to the processing unit when the operation is ended. When the processing unit receives the operation end signal, it outputs an operation result obtained by the variable-length processing means to other devices.

Data divided by delimiters representing the boundaries of the data is stored in a data memory. Instructions each including designation of a delimiter are stored in an instruction register. A control circuit decodes an instruction output from the instruction register, and repeats processing of the data read out from the data memory in accordance with the decoded instruction every time the data is read out therefrom. A delimiter detector outputs a coincidence signal when it detects that a delimiter which coincides with the delimiter in the instruction is present in the data read out from the data memory. When this coincidence signal is input to the control circuit, the control circuit ends the processing which has been performed in accordance with the instruction.

An apparatus for electrically transmitting the image of a pattern corresponding to the light transmission characteristic of a light-transmitting film substrate employs a linear image sensor for scanning the image of the pattern and producing a corresponding output signal, the frequency band of which is adjusted for transmission over a telephone circuit. The output signal can be made independent of magnification changes of the image-forming optical system, and the area of the pattern scanned by the linear image sensor can be set selectively. A second optical system is employed for observation and includes a retractable mirror that starts the production of the output signal when the mirror is retracted. An image signal generating apparatus includes an optical system for focusing the image of a photographic film onto a predetermined plane and a scanning device for scanning the image with a photoreceptor positioned at the predetermined plane and generating output signals representing the light intensity distribution of the film. The scanning device performs a first scan of the image and a second scan of the image upon completion of the first scan. During the first scan the levels of the output signals indicative of the maximum density and the minimum density of the film are detected, and during the second scan the exposure of the photoreceptor is controlled in accordance with the detected levels. Also, during the second scan, the output signals are clamped to a clamp level calculated in accordance with the detected maximum density level and the minimum level of the output signals during the first scan.

Focus detecting device comprises a focus detecting optical system for guiding the light from an object onto a focus detecting plane, focus detecting means for identifying the focusing state from the image of the object formed on the focus detecting plane, means for generating a signal corresponding to the controlled actual F-number of the photographic optical system, means for generating a correction signal corresponding to the displacement of the optimum image plane of the photographing optical system according to the change of the controlled F-number, and means for correcting the output signal of the focus detecting means according to the correction signal.

The connector has a movable contact resiliently displaceable in the diametral direction of the cylinder. An automatic focusing device in a camera comprises drive means for moving a picture-taking lens in the direction of the optic axis so that the picture-taking lens can be focused to an object from the shortest distance to infinity, detector means having photoelectric converter means and adapted to emit a focus position signal when the image formation plane of the object by the picture-taking lens is not coincident with an optimal focusing plane and to emit a focusing signal when the image formation plane is substantially coincident with the optimal focusing plane, a shutter release operating button displaceable between a first operating position and a second operating position and adapted, when displaced to the second operating position, to release the shutter of the camera, trigger means adapted to emit an operating signal when the shutter release operating button is displaced to the first operating position, and means for controlling the drive means such that the picture-taking lens is moved in response to application of the focus position signal and the operating signal, that said movement of the lens is stopped in response to application of the operating signal and the focusing signal and that after the stoppage of the lens, said movement becomes possible only in response to re-application of the operating signal.
