A body structure includes: a bumper beam extending in the vehicle width direction; a pair of front side frames separated from each other in the vehicle width direction; and a pair of bumper beam extensions provided between respective front ends of the pair of front side frames and the bumper beam. The bumper beam is connected to the pair of bumper beam extensions at positions lower than respective upper walls of the pair of front side frames; and each of front portions of the pair of bumper beam extensions includes a connection portion to which a rear wall of the bumper beam is connected, and an extension portion provided above the connection portion and extending toward the vehicle front above the bumper beam.

Vehicle body structure

A structure for a front portion of a vehicle is provided with a windshield lower member. The windshield lower member includes a windshield lower member main body, and an extended portion formed so as to extend frontward from a front end portion of the windshield lower member main body. The extended portion includes a base portion formed so as to continue from a front end portion of the windshield lower member main body, a weight portion extending in an obliquely front-upward direction from a front end portion of the base portion, and a weak portion that extends in a vehicle width direction at a boundary between the base portion and the weight portion, and that has lower rigidity than the base portion.

Structure for front portion of vehicle

A structure of the front section of a vehicle body is disposed on the front end portion of a front side frame on the same position as the rear surface of a side stay in the front-rear direction of the vehicle body, and includes a first extending portion extending downward along the rear surface of the side stay. A lower stay is provided with a second extending portion extending outward in the vehicle width direction beyond the side stay to a position below the first extending portion. A joining section is formed so as to join the front surface of the first extending portion, the upper surface of the second extending portion, and outside surface of the side stay. The joining section defines an arrangement region for inner and outer shock absorbing members having a lower rigidity than the front side frame.

Structure of front section of vehicle body

A structure for a vehicle body front portion, provided with a cross-member () which is provided to a dashboard lower panel () on the engine room () side thereof and is extended between left and right front side frames (). The cross-member () is divided into left and right cross-members (). A cup-shaped joint cover () is sandwiched between the left and right cross-members ().

Structure for vehicle body front portion

A damper mounting structure is provided with a top buffer member and a bottom buffer member. The bottom buffer member has a protruding section that protrudes with an outer diameter smaller than the outer diameter of the bottom buffer member. The damper mounting structure mates with the protruding section and is anchored to a vehicle body panel, and is provided with a collar formed at substantially the same height as the height of the protruding section. The corner of an opening formed on the vehicle body panel, which comes into contact with the top buffer member, is chamfered.

Damper mounting structure

A front structure of a vehicle body includes left and right front side frames, a dashboard lower panel, and left and right floor frame. The dashboard lower panel has a rear surface with a cross member provided thereon, and a lower part inclined downwardly rearwardly of the vehicle body. Front end of each of the left and right floor frames extends forwardly upwardly along the lower part of the dashboard lower panel and is joined by an adapter to a rear end of a respective one of the left and right front side frames. The adapter is joined to the cross member with the dashboard lower panel sandwiched therebetween.

Front vehicle body structure

A vehicle body front structure is disclosed in which a cooling system component is provided to an upper beam and a lower beam of a front bulkhead. A vehicle body front structure comprises a left top support mechanism provided to the upper beam and a left bottom support mechanism provided to the upper beam. The left top support mechanism supports a left top part of the cooling system component, and supports the left top part of the cooling system component so as to allow the left top part to move toward the rear of the vehicle body. The left bottom support mechanism supports a left bottom part of the cooling system component, and supports the left bottom part of the cooling system component so as to allow the left bottom part to move toward the rear of the vehicle body.

Vehicle body front structure and manufacturing method thereof

A vehicle body front structure provided with left and right side frames (). The left front side frame () has a rectangular closed cross-sectional shape. The front side frame () is provided with a rectilinear section (front half frame section) () extending rectilinearly from the front end () to the center section (), and also with a moment receiving section (rear half frame section) () continuing from the rectilinear section () and extending in a curved form toward the inner side in the widthwise direction of the vehicle. A first ridge line section () is a portion which forms a corner () among the corners () of the rectilinear section (), said corner () being located on the inner side in the widthwise direction of the vehicle. A second ridge line section () is connected to the first ridge line section () at a position inside the moment receiving section (). A stiffener () is connected to the rear end () of the front side frame ().

Vehicle body front structure

A vehicle body front part structure having a front side frame including a compressive load bearing frame member extending longitudinally of a vehicle body, and a bending load bearing frame member branched from a longitudinally central portion of the compressive load bearing frame member and curved inwardly toward a longitudinal centerline of the vehicle body as extending rearwardly of the vehicle body. The compressive load bearing frame member has a rear end portion curved inwardly toward the longitudinal centerline of the vehicle body, and reinforcement beads formed on a sidewall of the rear end portion of the compressive load bearing frame member.
