A magnetic sensor including: a substrate with a main surface; at least two magnetoresistive effect elements formed on the main surface and connected to a power terminal of a bridge circuit; at least two magnetoresistive effect elements formed on the main surface and connected to a ground terminal of the bridge circuit; a first region in which one of the at least two magnetoresistive effect elements connected to the power terminal and one of the at least two magnetoresistive effect elements connected to the ground terminal are disposed; a second region in which another of the at least two magnetoresistive effect elements connected to the power terminal and another of the at least two magnetoresistive effect elements connected to the ground terminal are disposed; and a bias coil including a first bias application part for applying a bias magnetic field to the first region and a second bias application part for applying a bias magnetic field to the second region. Magnetosensitive directions of the two magnetoresistive effect elements connected to the power terminal are the same, magnetosensitive directions of the two magnetoresistive effect elements connected to the ground terminal are the same, and a difference between a cross-sectional area of the first bias application part and a cross-sectional area of the second bias application part is 35.4% or less.

Magnetic sensor, manufacturing method thereof, and current detector using the same

A magnetic sensor includes: a first current line, a second current line and a third current line that are disposed in parallel to each other in sequence in a width direction and electrically connected in series; and a magnetoresistive effect element disposed under the second current line and extending along a direction of extension of the second current line, the magnetoresistive effect element having an electric resistance that changes by an induced magnetic field generated by current flowing through the first current line, the second current line and the third current line, the following inequality expression (1) being satisfied:&#x2264;5&#x2003;&#x2003;(1)where Lis a length from an outside of the first current line to an outside of the third current line in a width direction, and Wis a length in the width direction of the magnetoresistive effect element.

Magnetic sensor

A magnetic sensor device that includes an annular magnetic body, a coil wound around the magnetic body, the coil configured to apply a magnetic field that rotates 360 degrees by a half way point in a peripheral direction of the magnetic body, and a magnetoresistance effect element arranged at a center of the annular magnetic body and including a fixed layer having a magnetization direction fixed in a direction of the magnetic field to be measured. The magnetic body includes a tapered portion located at a position where a line passing through the center of the magnetic body and extending in a shorter-axis direction intersects the magnetic body, the tapered portion having a narrowed portion narrowed down toward the magnetoresistance effect element, and having dumbbell-shaped inner and outer peripheries, and the narrowed portion having a width reduced toward the magnetoresistance effect element.

Magnetic sensor device for suppressing magnetic saturation

Provided is a magnetic sensor device capable of attenuating the intensity of the magnetic field to be applied to the magnetic sensor. A magnetic sensor device includes a magnetic sensor element which detects the intensity of a magnetic field in a predetermined detection axis direction, and a magnetic field attenuation body which includes a first magnetic field attenuation unit and a second magnetic field attenuation unit, each of the attenuation units having a surface and the surfaces being opposed to each other with the magnetic sensor element therebetween.

A mover, in which at each outer surface of a cornered tubular inner yoke, a flat plate magnet magnetized from inside to outside in a direction perpendicular to the outer surface, a flat plate magnet magnetized in an axial direction of the inner yoke, a flat plate magnet magnetized from outside to inside in the direction perpendicular to the outer surface, and a flat plate magnet magnetized in the axial direction of the inner yoke are alternately provided in this order, is passed through an armature in which a first single pole unit and a second single pole unit rotated by 90&#xb0; with respect to the first single pole unit are alternately stacked, thus forming a linear motor. Windings are collectively wound around core portions of the first single pole unit. Positions of the magnets provided at the outer surfaces of the inner yoke are deviated from each other.

From horizontal and vertical coordinate values HC and VC of a pixel, a distance operation unit calculates a distance value RV indicating the distance from an optical-axis position to the pixel. A correction-data operation unit receives the distance value RV, and calculates correction data CD for the pixel by referring to an approximation function indicating relation between distance values and correction data. The approximation function is divided into a plurality of segments, and in each segment represented by a quadratic function defined by a predetermined number of sample points.

Shading correction method and system and digital camera

A solid-state imaging element includes photoelectric conversion elements having a complementary or Bayer color filter array. The solid-state imaging element adds together electric charges stored in nine photoelectric conversion elements having color filters of one of multiple colors in each portion of six rows and six columns, to obtain a resulting electric charge, and outputs the resulting electric charge as one pixel. A portion for one of the colors deviates from a portion for each of the other colors by three rows and/or three columns. This pixel-addition operation produces an effect of a spatial low pass filter, thereby reducing signal components exceeding a Nyquist frequency corresponding to a target resolution. Consequently, aliasing noise in an image with the target resolution is reduced, and therefore higher image quality can be achieved, when compared with a conventional resolution reduction technique.

Imaging device

There is provided a quadrilateral insulating substrate, and plural magnetic sensors are provided on the substrate. An IC is provided on the substrate for supplying driving signals to the magnetic sensors and receiving magnetic detecting signals from the magnetic sensors to output magnetic information depending on strength of magnetism. The magnetic sensors and the IC are encapsulated by an encapsulation member to integrate the substrate and magnetic sensors and IC.

Device for detecting magnetic azimuth

A magnetic sensor of orthogonal flux-gate type is provided with a cylindrical core made of a soft magnetic material; an internal conductor that is placed inside the core; a detection coil wound up on the core; and an external conductor that is placed around the core and electrically connected to the internal conductor. A high-frequency current is allowed to flow through the internal core so that a magnetic field to be measured which resides around the detection coil is changed and the intensity and direction of the magnetic field to be measured is detected on the basis of an output of the detection coil. Since the external conductor is placed on the periphery of the core, it is possible to prevent the magnetic flux formed by the core from magnetizing any space, and consequently to concentrate the magnetic field on the core.

A DC current sensor has a detecting core with a plurality of detecting core members adapted to be divided in a circumferential direction for receiving the lead wire. A pair of annular exciting cores on one of said detecting core members formed of saturable magnetic material has a core intersection inter-connected perpendicularly to the circumferential direction of said detecting core members, and are disposed oppositely in spaced relation with said detecting core members to magnetically saturate a portion thereof by a magnetic flux produced substantially in the perpendicular direction against a magnetic flux in the circumferential direction, produced by the DC current flowing through said lead wire being detected, and to interrupt a magnetic path by the magnetic flux in the circumferential direction periodically. Exciting coils are wound around the exciting cores in negative-phase excitation.
