There is provided an air cleaner configured to be disposed inside a vehicle body frame, the air cleaner including: an air cleaner case in which an intake chamber is formed; an intake air temperature sensor configured to detect an intake air temperature in the intake chamber; an inlet tube configured to take in air to the intake chamber; and an outlet tube configured to send out air from the intake chamber. The outlet tube has an upstream portion protruding into the intake chamber, and the upstream portion of the outlet tube has a peripheral wall formed with a through hole.

Air cleaner

With regard to a temperature sensor, a control logic circuit conducts control of the temperature sensor. During preparation of the temperature sensor, the control logic circuit reads the result of measurement of the property pertaining to the ambient temperature from the temperature sensor circuit, obtains the initial value and correction value from the result, and stores the pertinent values in the fuse memory. At times of operation of the temperature sensor, the control logic circuit reads the initial value and correction value from the fuse memory, and corrects the measurement values of the temperature sensor circuit using the pertinent values.

A geomagnetic sensor including a geomagnetism detection unit; a fuse memory for storing prescribed data according to a state of the electrical cut-off or connection; a correction data writing unit for inputting measurement values of said geomagnetism detection unit during manufacture, for obtaining correction values that correct a temperature property of the measurement values of the geomagnetism detection unit, and for writing said correction values into said fuse memory; a correction data reading unit for reading said correction values from said fuse memory at times of actual use after manufacture; and a correction unit for inputting the measurement values of said geomagnetism detection unit at times of actual use, and for correcting the measurement values of said geomagnetism detection unit based on the correction values read by said correction data reading unit.

A magnetic sensor comprises a thin-film-like magnetic tunnel effect element (magnetoresistive effect element) . A coil is disposed in a plane under the magnetic tunnel effect element and parallel to a thin-planar film surface of the element. The coil is a double spiral type coil which includes a first spiral conductor portion - and a second spiral conductor portion - . The magnetic tunnel effect element is disposed between a spiral center P of the first conductor portion - and a spiral center P of the second conductor portion - in a plan view. The first and second conductor portions - and - are connected such that electric currents in the same direction pass through a part of the first conductor portion - that overlaps the magnetic tunnel effect element in a plan view and through a part of the second conductor portion - that overlaps the magnetic tunnel effect element in a plan view.

Magnetic sensor

A delta-sigma modulator for use in power amplification of audio signals is configured by an integration circuit, a 1-bit quantizer, an output inversion inhibitor circuit, a delay circuit, and an adder. An analog signal is supplied to the integration circuit by way of the adder, wherein it is subjected to integration. An integration result is subjected to quantization by the 1-bit quantizer to produce 1-bit digital signals. The output inversion inhibitor circuit inhibits an output signal of the 1-bit quantizer from being re-inverted during a re-inversion inhibiting period corresponding to a preset number 'N' (where N&gE;2) of clock pulses counted after the timing when the output signal of the 1-bit quantizer is inverted. The output of the output inversion inhibitor circuit is delayed by one sample and is fed back to the adder by way of the delay circuit.

A key position computing apparatus for a player piano is presented which includes the following components (a) sensing device provided on each key and adapted for measuring a distance between a reference plane and a key surface for each key, (b) memory device for storing computer programs to compute the relationship between the output from the sensing device and the distance between the reference plane and the key surface, (c) programmable memory device for storing the characteristic operating data of the sensing device for each key, (d) computing device for computing the relationship between the output from the sensing device and the distance from the reference plane to the surface of each key, (e) gain adjusting device for adjusting the gain of the output from the sensing device to a constant value, and (f) linearizing device for approximating the output of the sensing device by a linearized signal. The player piano, so equipped and operated according to the steps, produces continual monitoring and real time dynamic reproduction of a musical performance.

Key position computing apparatus and computing method therefor

A display controller can display a cursor having sufficient contour irrespective of the background color. The display controller has two cursor pattern memories from which first and second cursor patterns are read in such a timing that the first cursor pattern is displayed at a selected position on the screen and that the second cursor pattern is superimposed on the first cursor pattern. The display controller also has two registers storing therein first and second color codes corresponding respectively to the first and second cursor patterns. The color of the first cursor pattern is determined by a color code obtained by subjecting the first color code and a background color code read from a video memory to a logical multiplication, and the color of the second cursor pattern is determined by a color code obtained by subjecting the color code of the first cursor pattern and the second color code to an exclusive-OR operation. The logical operations are selectively effected in accordance with two control bits stored in a register.

Display controller

A display control system can implement a gray-scale display of an image composed of a plurality of display dots on a display screen. A plurality of luminance data each representing an intensity level of a corresponding one of the plurality of display dots are first generated. Each luminance data is then converted into a pulse signal whose pulse number corresponds to an intensity level of the corresponding display dot represented by the luminance data. And, each display dot on the display screen is activated in accordance with a corresponding one of the thus produced pulse signals. To eliminate flicker of the display dots, the display dots on the display screen are grouped into a plurality of display sections each composed of a predetermined number of adjacent display dots, and if the display dots in one display section are equal in intensity level, these display dots are activated by the pulse signals which are equal in pulse-number but different in phase.

Display control system

A display controller displays an image on either of a CRT display unit and a liquid crystal display unit (LCD) having upper and lower screens in accordance with image data stored in a memory. When a CRT display unit is driven, an address generating circuit calculates at the beginning of each horizontal scanning an address of the memory corresponding to the leftmost display position on the current horizontal scanning line in accordance with the vertical position of the horizontal scanning line and the number of display positions on a horizontal scanning line, and stores data representing the address in a first register. The data in the first register is incremented in accordance with the horizontal scanning and fed to the memory to read the image data. When the LCD is driven, the address generating circuit calculates at the beginning of each horizontal scanning two addresses of the memory corresponding respectively to the left most display positions on the current horizontal scanning lines on the upper and lower screens. In this case, the first one is obtained in accordance with the vertical position of the current horizontal scanning line on the upper screen and the number of display positions on a horizontal scanning line, while the second one is obtained by adding the number of display positions on the upper screen to the calculated first address.

A display controller which can display a cursor on either of a CRT display or a liquid crystal type display device is described. The liquid crystal type display device is a type that has an upper and lower display blocks which are scanned substantially in parallel. This display controller allows the display position of the cursor to be designated in the same manner, independent of the type of display device used. The display controller operates in a time sharing manner, alternately on the upper and lower display blocks of the liquid crystal device. Two groups of data corresponding to these upper and lower blocks are formed and are supplied to the liquid crystal display device substantially in parallel. X and Y coordinate positions of the cursor position are also stored. The cursor pattern signal for the liquid crystal display device is also stored in a time shared manner.

An electronic musical instrument comprises: a keyboard circuit for generating a pitch data signal which designates the note name of a musical tone to be produced; a speech signal generator for generating a speech signal which tells in human voice the name of the designated musical tone; multiplexed processing circuit for time-divisionally processing the pitch data signal and the speech signal; and sound signal producing circuit for producing the musical tone and the human voice in accordance with the processed output from the multipled processing circuit. Thus the instrument speaks the names of the tones as it produces the musical tones.

Electronic musical instrument

A frequency divider which divides clock pulses to obtain the clock frequency of a desired dividing ratio comprises a binary counter, cycle data forming circuit and inhibit circuit to which the dividing ratio is fed in the form of the dividing ratio data. The counter counts the clock pulses, and the cycle data forming circuit converts the count value of the binary counter to a cycle data in which a certain single bit only becomes a logical state '1' and the rest of the bits are a state '0'. The bit which becomes '1' in the cycle data is uniquely determined by the count value. Further, each bit of the cycle data becomes '1' in proportion to the weight of the each bit. With the cycle data being thus formed, the dividing ratio data is simplified. The inhibit circuit receives the cycle data and the dividing ratio data to suspend the counting operation of the binary count if the bit of the dividing ratio data corresponding to the bit of the cycle data whose state is '1' is also '1'. This suspension enables the binary counter to perform a nonbinary counting operation, whereby the frequency-dividing based on the desired dividing ratio in the binary counter is implemented. By relating the diving ratio data to the pitch of a note, the frequency divider may be applicable to an electronic musical instrument.

This electronic musical instrument with automatic accompaniment system comprises means for dividing each note by time division timing, means for extracting a timing equivalent to the order indicated by pattern signals from the timings corresponding to the predetermined note, and means for producing a musical tone of note corresponding to the extracted timing. The automatic accompaniment system may be applied for automatic arpeggio performance.
