The present invention relates to an insulated electric wire for an automobile containing a conductor and an insulating coating layer which coats the conductor, the insulating coating layer being formed of a non-crosslinkable resin composition containing 65 to 90 parts by weight of a polypropylene-based resin, 10 to 40 parts by weight of a metal hydroxide, 20 to 50 parts by weight of a bromine-based flame retardant, 5 to 30 parts by weight of antimony trioxide, and 2 to 15 parts by weight of a maleic acid-modified resin in the ratio and further containing at least one of 3 to 10 parts by weight of a polyethylene resin and 2 to 10 parts by weight of an ethylene-based copolymer.

A printed circuit body includes a bus bar as a metal member electrically connected with a connected body, an insulator layer providing insulation properties, and a conductor layer formed across the metal member and the insulator layer and electrically connected with the metal member. The metal member and the insulator layer are positioned such that a metal-member side connected surface of the metal member on which the conductor layer is provided and an insulator-layer side connected surface of the insulator layer on which the conductor layer is provided are positioned at an identical plane. This configuration allows connection between the bus bar and the conductor layer and circuit formation to be simultaneously achieved at manufacturing of the printed circuit body, thereby facilitating formation of a wiring structure of the bus bar and the conductor layer.

The present invention relates to a flame-retardant resin composition including (A) a base resin containing (A1) a propylene polymer where 90% by mass or more of constituent monomers are propylene and (A2) at least one of specific thermoplastic elastomers, (B) a metal hydrate, (C) a phenol-based antioxidant, and (D) a metal soap, wherein the blending ratio (A1):(A2) of (A1) the propylene polymer to (A2) the specific thermoplastic elastomer in (A) the base resin is 9:1 to 7:3 in terms of mass ratio; (B) the metal hydrate, (C) the phenol-based antioxidant, and (D) the metal soap each is blended in a specific amount, and (D) the metal soap contains a specific metal salt of one or more specific fatty acids in a specific amount.

Disclosed are a halogen-free resin composition, an insulated electric wire, and a wire harness, which can maintain long-term thermal resistance without decreasing established mechanical properties, flame retardancy, flexibility, and the like even when the insulated electric wire coated with the halogen-free resin composition is used in a state where it is mixed with an insulated electric wire coated with a PCV resin composition.

The present invention provides a non-halogen resin composition, an insulated electrical wire formed of the non-halogen resin composition, and a wire harness including the insulated electrical wire. The non-halogen resin composition, comprising: (A) 100 parts by weight of a base resin, containing 50 to 75 weight percent of a polypropylene, 20 to 40 weight percent of a propylene-alpha olefin copolymer, and 5 to 10 weight percent of a low density polyethylene; (B) 50 to 100 parts by weight of a metal hydroxide; (C) 3 to 5 parts by weight of a phenolic anti-oxidant; and (D) 0.5 to 2 parts by weight of a hydrazine-containing metal capture agent. The non-halogen resin composition exhibits excellent mechanical properties such as abrasion resistance, flame retardant property, flexibility, and long-term heat resistance, even if it contains inorganic flame retardant therein.

A halogen-free resin composition for a covered wire and a wiring harness which has a base resin composition of 100 weight division having 45 to 65% by weight of a polypropylene resin, 15 to 30% by weight of a low-density polyethylene resin, 15 to 30% by weight of a styrene thermoplastic elastomer, and a metal hydrate of 80-120 weight division. The styrene thermoplastic elastomer of the composition is an aromatic vinyl-conjugated diene system block copolymer and with a peak temperature of dynamic factor (tan &#x3b4;) thereof measured in a range from &#x2212;100 to 50&#xb0; C. by a dynamic viscoelasticity measurement device being made in 0-30&#xb0; C.
