An automated system including a control target device and a control device which controls the control target device, in which it is possible to accurately estimate whether maintenance of the control target device is required and a portion requiring maintenance. The control device is an adaptive control device including a position control system, an adaptive identifier which estimates a parameter indicating a state of a control target device based on a control command and a control target output from the control target device, and an adaptive compensator which, based on the parameter which is estimated by the adaptive identifier, compensates the control command from the position control system to the control target device such that the control target device performs a planned operation regardless of a change in the parameter.

Automated system capable of estimating portion requiring maintenance

There is provided a method for supporting work of improving the design of a mechanical apparatus which is operated by a motor, including: an operating step of operating a movable section of the mechanical apparatus by the motor; a measuring step of obtaining at least one index which indicates an input into the motor or an output from the motor in the operating step; a determining step of determining the mechanical properties of the mechanical apparatus, by using at least one index obtained in the measuring step; and a specifying step of specifying at least one improvement-required item which is required to be improved in the design of the mechanical apparatus, by using the mechanical properties determined in the determining step.

Method and apparatus for supporting design improvement work of mechanical apparatus

A linear motor device includes a track member with multiple magnets with alternating N poles and S poles arranged along the moving direction, and a moving body with a configuration which includes an armature which is movably mounted on the track member; and the device generates a driving force in the moving direction between the magnetic flux created armature and the magnets of track member. The armature also includes a heat conduction member arranged in cooling passages formed in cores of the armature. By this, coils on the moving body side are cooled efficiently, and a large driving force can be achieved by passing a large current as well as maintaining a large space for winding the coils in order to increase the winding count.
