A gas sensor element has an electrolyte layer, a first insulator, a second insulator, a measurement gas chamber, and a reference gas chamber. The electrolyte layer includes a holding plate and a solid electrolyte body. The first insulator is laminated on one side of the electrolyte layer, and the second insulator is laminated on the other side of the electrolyte layer. At least a part of the boundary portion between the placement hole and the solid electrolyte body is sandwiched between a first sandwiching portion of the first insulator and a second sandwiching portion of the second insulator.

Gas sensor element

A gas sensor which detects a concentration of a specific gas contained in a gas to be measured is provided with a gas sensor element. The gas sensor element has an ion conductive solid electrolyte body, a measuring gas electrode which is mounted on a surface of the solid electrolyte body, a reference gas electrode mounted on a surface of the solid electrolyte body, and a catalyst layer mounted on an outer-side relative to the measuring gas electrode-side. The catalyst layer contains a metal catalyst loaded onto a carrier. The metal catalyst is a Pt single substance, and has a specific surface area defined by the equation below of equal to or more than 0.01 to equal to or less than 23: Specific surface area=total surface area of metal catalyst which exists on an electrode unit surface area/actual surface area of electrode per electrode unit surface area.

Gas sensor

A gas sensor element includes a solid electrolyte plate, and a measurement electrode and a reference electrode provided on surfaces of the solid electrolyte plate. In a section plane of the reference electrode along a thickness direction, noble metal regions, solid electrolyte regions, mixed regions, and void spaces are present. When a ratio of an area B of the mixed regions in the section plane with respect to an area A of the reference electrode in the section plane is a mixed region ratio B/A, and a ratio of an area C of the void spaces in the section plane with respect to the area A of the reference electrode in the section plane is a void space ratio C/A, a parameter value as a product of the mixed region ratio B/A and the void space ratio C/A falls within a range of 0.001 to 0.01.

Gas sensor element and method for manufacturing the same

An optical information reader includes an imaging lens and a lens retainer retaining the imaging lens and assembled, in this state, into the holder. The lens retainer includes a flange bottom surface and end faces as a reference surface that is parallel to an optical axis of the imaging lens. The holder includes a top surface and edge faces as a guide surface. The guide surface is brought into surface contact with the flange bottom surface and the end faces when the lens retainer is assembled into the holder, and is brought into slidable contact with the flange bottom surface and the end faces when the lens retainer is moved along the optical axis. Thus, influence of one-sided blur is minimized in terms of variation in resolution which is measured when obtaining an optimal focus position by changing relative positions of the area sensor and the imaging lens.

Optical information reader and method of manufacturing the optical information reader

A gas sensor element includes a solid electrolyte having oxygen-ion conductivity, a first electrode film located on one side of the solid electrolyte, a second electrode film located on the other side of the solid electrolyte. At least one of the first electrode film and the second electrode film includes noble metal particles, solid electrolyte particles having oxygen-ion conductivity, and pores, and a capacitance in the electrode film is 80 &#x3bc;F or less. A gas sensor includes the gas sensor element.

In an optical information reader which optically reads an information code, a first polarizing unit arranged on the light-exit side of a lighting unit is configured to polarize illumination light therefrom in a predetermined polarization direction. In addition, a second polarizing unit arranged on the light-reception side of a light receiving sensor is configured as a switchable polarization unit, in which the switchable polarization unit is capable of performing a switchover between a polarized state in which light reflected from the information code is polarized in a direction different from the predetermined polarization direction and a passing state where the reflected light passes therethrough without being polarized.

Optical information reader

A gas sensor is provided which has a rapid heating property and which can detect A/F ratio with high accuracy and can detect specifically a stoichiometric environment with high accuracy. The gas sensor has a limiting current type gas sensor element. The gas sensor element has a cup-shaped solid electrolyte, a reference electrode formed on an inside surface of the solid electrolyte, a measuring electrode formed on an outside surface of the solid electrolyte and a heater. The heater is disposed inside the solid electrolyte so that a tip end thereof contacts the inside surface of the solid electrolyte. The gas sensor outputs the limiting current value depending on an oxygen concentration in exhaust gases by applying a predetermined voltage between the reference electrode and the measuring electrode. The measuring electrode, which a length thereof in a direction is 0.5 mm to 3.0 mm, is housed in a range 0.5 mm to 7.5 mm from a tip end of the solid electrolyte in the direction.

A gas sensor element includes a main body having a solid electrolyte body on which a measurement gas-side electrode and a reference gas-side electrode are provided, a trap layer covering an outer peripheral surface of the main body to trap poisoning substances contained in a measurement gas, and a waterproof protective layer covering an outer peripheral surface of the trap layer. In the protective layer, there is formed at least one measurement gas introduction port for introducing the measurement gas to the measurement gas-side electrode via the trap layer.

A gas sensor element with suppressed response deterioration even when poisoned with S when fuel or exhaust gas contains ethanol and the ethanol content is high. The element includes a detection portion, which includes a solid electrolyte layer having a pair of electrodes on opposite sides thereof, a shielding layer defining a measurement target gas space with a porous diffusive resistance layer, and a reference gas space protective layer; a heat-generating portion stacked on the detection portion; and a porous protective layer surrounding the detection portion and heat-generating portion. The porous protective layer includes a first porous protective layer surrounding at least the porous diffusive resistance layer, and a second porous protective layer surrounding the first porous protective layer, the detection portion and the heat-generating portion. The first porous protective layer contains none of La, Ca, or Mg, while the second porous protective layer contains at least one of them.

A gas sensor is provided with: a sensor element having a solid electrolyte body, a measurement electrode and a reference electrode; a housing into which the sensor element is inserted; and an element cover arranged at the tip-end side of the housing. The element cover has an inner cover arranged so as to cover the tip-end portion of the sensor element from outside, and an outer cover arranged so as to cover the inner cover from outside. When L is defined as an axial distance from a base end of an internal space of the inner cover to the base end of the measurement electrode, an axial distance M from the base end of the internal space of the inner cover to the base end of an inner vent hole positioned in the most base-end side among the inner vent holes provided to the inner cover is 0.2L to 0.65L.

Gas sensor including sensor element, housing and element cover

An information code reader is provided to read an information code, such as a QR code (registered trademark). In this reader, a marker light irradiating unit is provided in a position farther away from a reading opening than a reflective mirror is, and disposed such that an optical axis of a marker light is parallel to an optical axis that is a center of an imaging area of a light receiving sensor and the marker light is close to (or in proximity to) an upper edge (outer edge) of the reflective mirror.

A gas sensor element includes a solid electrolyte body having oxygen ion conductivity, a pair of measurement and reference electrodes respectively provided on an opposite pair of first and second surfaces of the solid electrolyte body, a porous diffusion-resistant layer through which a measurement gas is introduced to the measurement electrode, and a protective layer. The protective layer is provided to cover, at least, an outer surface of the porous diffusion-resistant layer through which the measurement gas flows into the diffusion-resistant layer. The protective layer is hydrophilic at room temperature and water-repellent at high temperatures at which the solid electrolyte body can be activated.

In a seat, in a state in which tilting of a back main frame around a tilting center is locked by a reclining mechanism, a lower end of a back joint link is turnably joined to a vehicle side. Thus, turning of a first link, a back sub frame and the back joint link is locked, and operation of a back link mechanism is locked. Therefore, a supporting rigidity from rear side of a back side portion can be enhanced by the back link mechanism (the back sub frame), and a crew sitting in the seat can be thoroughly retained.
