Disclosed is a photothermographic material having an image-forming layer containing a silver salt of an organic acid, photosensitive silver halide grains and a reducing agent on a support, wherein ratio of scratch strength measured before heat development and scratch strength measured 30 minutes after the heat development is in the range of 1:1-1:3 for a surface of the image-forming layer side. The photothermographic material shows improved film strength after heat development.

The present invention discloses a laser ablative recording material which has one or more layers including a coloring agent layer on a surface of a support, wherein at least one layer from among one or more layers including the coloring agent layer contains nitric acid ester of carboxyalkyl cellulose having a degree of nitric ester group substitution per glucose anhydride unit within a range of from 0.05 to 2.8; and at least one layer from among one or more layers including the coloring agent layer contains a material having absorption in the laser wavelength region. The laser ablative recording material of the invention is characterized by a small Dmin and a high removing efficiency of the image forming dyes.

Laser ablative recording material

A laser ablative recording material having at least one image forming layer on a support surface-treated by at least one of ultraviolet irradiation treatment, glow discharge treatment and flame treatment, and having at least one intermediate layer between the image forming layer and the support is disclosed. The laser ablative recording material of the present invention is characterized by high adhesion between the support and the image forming layer and low Dmin.

In a photothermographic element comprising a non-photosensitive silver salt, a photosensitive silver halide, and a binder on a support, a latex of a polymer having a Tg of -30.degree. C. to 40.degree. C. constitutes at least 50% by weight of the binder in an image forming layer containing the silver halide, and the image forming layer or a layer disposed adjacent thereto or both contain a nucleating agent and a diphosphorus pentoxide-derived compound. The element produces a low fog, high contrast image.

The present application discloses a laser ablative recording material which has one or more image forming layers on a support, and one or more intermediate layers between said image forming layer and said support, wherein:

A laser ablative recording material having on a support at least one coloring agent layer and at least one overcoat layer, where the overcoat layer contains an infrared-absorbing material exhibiting absorption in the laser wavelength region. By using the laser ablative recording material, an image will be obtained with a high sensitivity and high resolution.
