A sheet accumulation apparatus includes a tray moving device elevatably provided at an apparatus frame and having a fork member; a tray device detachably attached to the fork member; a driving device for elevating the tray moving device; and a carrier device having a hand truck frame with a fork member. An operation handle is connected to the hand truck frame for accommodating the tray device separated from the tray moving device to transport the tray device from the tray moving device. The tray moving device and the carrier device are structured so that the tray device is transferred between the tray moving device and the carrier device at an attachment/detachment position at which the tray moving device is lowered.

Sheet accumulation apparatus and image formation apparatus including the apparatus

A separation unit is formed of a feed roller that touches the uppermost surface of sheets stacked on a sheet supply tray to feed the sheet, a supply roller to supply the drawn out sheet, and a separating member pressing against the supply roller to allow only the uppermost sheet to pass. A guide member is disposed between the sheet supply tray and the separating member with an angle with respect to the sheet supply tray to guide the sheet to the supply roller and abut against leading edges of the sheets drawn out from the feed roller to separate them. The separating member of the separating mechanism and the guide member are attached and detached as a single body to the guide member for guiding the sheets. Therefore, while high separation performance for the sheets can be maintained, workability in replacing the separating member becomes easy.

Sheet feeding apparatus and automatic document using the same

A document feeder apparatus is provided with the first switchback path using a space between a supply tray and a discharge tray arranged to overlap with each other, and the second switchback path between the discharge tray and a pressing cover of a platen. According to a length of an original, a flapper is switched to a position to guide the original to one of the first switchback path and the second switchback path. Through this configuration, it is possible to transport a large size double-sided original. The apparatus can be made small, and productivity of the double-sided original is improved.

Document feeder and image reading apparatus

A document feeding apparatus includes a paper feeding tray, on which a document is placed, a transfer unit that transfers the document placed on the paper feeding tray to a platen glass, a paper delivery tray for receiving the document transferred to the platen glass, and a platen cover for the platen glass. A first paper delivery port is provided for delivering to a short size tray a document whose length in the transfer direction of the document is shorter than a predetermined value, and a second paper delivery port is provided for delivering to said paper delivery tray a document whose length in the transfer direction of the document is longer than the predetermined value. In addition, an image input portion, the second paper delivery port, and the first paper delivery port are arranged in order with a space therebetween in the transfer direction of the document.
