Lighter

A gas lighter having a safety device includes a lighter body that includes a fuel emission portion for emitting fuel from a fuel well, a piezoelectric unit having an ignition pushbutton and a shoulder portion, and a cutaway portion on a top part of the body. A cap is arranged on the cutaway portion such that the cap can be depressed to depress the ignition pushbutton. A lock member positioned between the cap and ignition pushbutton, over the ignition pushbutton, includes a resilient leg at one end and a rigid leg at another end. An end of the rigid leg urged into a position over the shoulder portion of the piezoelectric unit by the resilient leg, is moved from this position over the shoulder portion to a position away from the piezoelectric unit by operating the lock member against the urging force of the resilient leg.

An oil lighter comprised of a lower primary chamber having an oil filler aperture, a secondary chamber that contains part of a wick that draws oil up, is located above the primary chamber and has a base aperture that communicates with the primary chamber, a valve to open and close the communicating aperture, comprised of a spindle supported in the secondary chamber so as to be vertically slidable and having at its lower end a shaft that passes through the communicating aperture between the primary and secondary chambers and protrudes into the primary chamber, said valve normally being urged downward to close the communicating aperture from above, and an operating means constituted by a lever for raising the spindle against the force that urges the spindle downward.

The present invention presents a novel apparatus and a method of demolishing a biological shield wall of a nuclear reactor using a concrete cutter device working on a wire saw, said apparatus comprising a concrete cutter device consisting of a driving part for a wire saw and a concrete cutting part attached on the engaging receiver of the driving part, a core boring machine to be attached interchangeably on the receiver in the place of the cutting part and a carrier truck to carry the wire saw driving part of said cutter device, further the concrete cutting part having a pair of vertical rods supported on a table movable vertically and adjustable in a distance of the rods and, at the bottom end of the rods, supporting pulleys and guide rollers for disposing the wire saw are provided.

Apparatus for demolishing biological shield wall of a nuclear reactor

A method for filling gas release valves with sealant for affixing to packaging containers to be filled with a commodity which will generate a small amount of gases during shelf storage. The gas release valve having an apertured base film and a valve film superimposed on the base film to define a channel therebetween is attached to the container in registry with a vent in the container such that the valve may allow the gases given off by the commodity to escape to the exterior through the vent and the channel when the gas pressure rises beyond the atmospheric pressure. Before the gas release valve is attached to the container, the valve is sealed by inserting a nozzle into said channel through the aperture in the base film, and introducing a fluid sealant through the nozzle into the channel intermediate one peripheral edge of the channel and the circumference of the aperture, thereby filling the channel with the fluid sealant.
