An ultrasound diagnosis apparatus generates an ultrasound image of an inside of a subject on a basis of ultrasound signals which are reflected off at the inside of the subject and received. The apparatus includes a needle position specifier and a needle emphasis processor. With respect to each region in the ultrasound image, the needle position specifier obtains a deep region feature value relating to signal intensity in a region deeper than a region subject to judgment in relation to ultrasound signal distribution along an emission direction of an ultrasound emitted in a subject, and specifies a position of a puncture-needle which is inserted in the subject. The needle emphasis processor carries out a process for emphasizing the position of the puncture-needle which is specified in the ultrasound image.

An ultrasound diagnosis apparatus generating an ultrasound image of inside of a test object based on ultrasound signals reflected and received from the inside of the test object includes: a candidate region extracting unit which extracts a plurality of candidate detection regions in a needle position range corresponding to a position of a puncture needle inserted into the test object; a needle identification range setting unit which determines a needle identification range including the needle position range from the ultrasound image based on the extracted candidate detection regions; a needle position range estimating unit which determines an estimated range of the needle position range in the needle identification range based on a value indicating an aggregation state related to a distribution of the candidate detection regions in the needle identification range; and a needle emphasizing unit which performs a process for emphasizing the estimated range in the ultrasound image.

This heat developing method includes a step of forming a latent image on a heat developing photosensitive film sheet and a step of developing the film sheet, while the film sheet on which a latent image is formed is being conveyed, by heating with segmented heaters which are formed by dividing the total heating area into plural segments in the direction perpendicular to the conveyance direction, and which are independently temperature controllable, wherein the film sheet is so conveyed that no film sheets of different sizes are simultaneously in contact with any segmented heater.

Thermal developing image forming apparatus and method for photothermographic imaging material

There is described a thermal development apparatus, which makes it possible to prevent generation of density variations caused by changes of the processing temperature during the thermal developing operation when the thermal developing photosensitive material is continuously processed, without increasing the cost of the apparatus so much. The thermal development apparatus includes a thermal developing processor to apply a thermal development processing to the thermal developing photosensitive material, a detector to detect the thermal developing photosensitive material to be conveyed into the thermal developing processor and a controller to control the thermal developing processor in a feed forward controlling mode based on a processing condition of the thermal developing processor. The processing condition is established in advance, corresponding to a load of processing the thermal developing photosensitive material detected in advance by the detector.

A heat developing apparatus for developing a heat-processable photo-sensitive material having a supply unit provided with a loading section for loading the heat-processable photo-sensitive material, an exposure unit for forming a latent image based on an image signal or on a predetermined signal for density measurement, a developing unit for heat development, a device for gaining density information of the heat-processable photo-sensitive material developed, and a controller for conducting a correction for a density of the heat-processable photo-sensitive material based on a desired density and the density information, by controlling at least one of the exposure unit and the developing unit, wherein, the controller conducts the correction according to the density information when a predetermined condition is satisfied after a new package incorporating the heat-processable photo-sensitive material has been loaded on the loading section.
